Simply because there is an increase in the number of incidents (reportedly), it dosn't take into account the increased ratio of reported:unreported incidents. Nor does it factor in the increase in population, due to the baby boom. There are a whole number of factors, and I would encourage you to think about the stats ;)

What no one ever mentions with regard to the slave trade in the US is that there were people in Africa (yes, "black people") who were more than happy to assist with the rounding up of slaves. For their assistance, they were paid. Yet this is never mentioned.
It seems as if you've only read half the history you're attempting to reference (nice soundbite though). If you checked you would see slavery was considered a totally different thing in some of these countries who "assisted". In many of these tribes those captured (mostly in war) could become a part of the family. Their children weren't seperated from them and they weren't butchered. @ryu8888 simply because there is an apparent 'rise' in knife crime, dosn't mean there is an actual rise. Statistics can be manipulated to mean anything they like. Simply because there is an increase in the number of incidents (reportedly), it dosn't take into account the increased ratio of reported:unreported incidents. Nor does it factor in the increase in population, due to the baby boom. There are a whole number of factors, and I would encourage you to think about the stats ;)

There was a major scandle about 2 months ago, when it was found that around 200 women became pregnant whilst having an implant. It was described by the media as the worst contraception. We do need medicine in certain circumstances. The same applies to guns. No one wants to kill another person, But sometimes you need to fight fire with fire. Chemo and radiation help when used correctly. The same thing applies to firearms. They save as well as destroy. the pilgrims didnt kill indians, that was done about a hundred years later when the colonies were advancing further inland. They actually traded goods with indians in the beginning. Americans didnt create slavery, that was done by the europians when they began to occupy Africa. And the civil war had nothing to do with slavery. The saouth was going to seceed from the north becasue the federal government was raising tarrifs on cotton so bad, they couldnt trade it. Effectively cutting off income.

What no one ever mentions with regard to the slave trade in the US is that there were people in Africa (yes, "black people") who were more than happy to assist with the rounding up of slaves. For their assistance, they were paid. Yet this is never mentioned.

It seems as if you've only read half the history you're attempting to reference (nice soundbite though). If you checked you would see slavery was considered a totally different thing in some of these countries who "assisted". In many of these tribes those captured (mostly in war) could become a part of the family. Their children weren't seperated from them and they weren't butchered. I think you need to look further than your high school history book.

Sure there were probably some isolated cases but I doubt it was a regular occurance as it was in the slave owners best interests to keep their slaves healthy so that could work, whats the point in paying good money for a slave and then butchering them?

Brilliant video - talent and insight! Don't forget that the slave trade was mostly paid for by the British - my home town of Liverpool in particular. We have warehouses here where slaves were kept before delivery, preserved as museums. We're not ashamed or hiding the truth, just aware what the times were like and mistakes that shouldn't be made again.

@sue01234567890 It's because people aren't able to defend themselves such as for example Washington, D.C. The crime rate actually dropped after it allowed people to own firearms in their houses. And yes there are plenty of crime ridden neighborhoods, but those are the areas that have the most gun violence. If a guy broke into my house, they wouldn't be able to hurt my family or steal my posessions because that's why you arm your self.

Michael Moore criticizes news channels, just like Eisner Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., because they're financed by private people. The channels are opinion-forming and the forming is controlled by private people who have personal financial interests. Are the news reliable then?

John Stossel is someone who tells the truth 98 percent of the time. and obviously, he's missing a lot of technicalities in his argument, which would've helped him, but most of the Americans we have today do not understand certain firearm features or laws like I do. I get down to every punctuation and piece of grammar when it comes to these laws so I can prove people wrong.
