@tightnessallday Britain should be added since alot of those countries mentioned except Russia and China use BAe for many of their projects. France as well especially for guided missiles. Many German projects have been created hand in hand with France.
Only problem with this weapon is the full weight. 57 pounds without the added 6 pound tripod. Javelin is 40 pounds. Eryx is 35 pounds. Although in operation it does have the best of both systems.
Still lighter than the 64 pound Kornet but the lightest of all systems is still the Metis-M at 30 pounds.
Peruvian army bought these missiles, in the first test almost kill 5 congressman....now we only buy the russian Kornet missile, at least these was tested in combat against Merkava IV tanks. ;)
A whole bunch of other countries uses this missile - if only the Peruvians had such an unfortunate incident, well, maybe the Peruvians should learn how to bloody shoot!
Javelin is better cause u don't need the stand. The time it takes for u to remove the stand and reposition will leave you in site of the enemy for that extra few mins longer- this may be fatal for the user.
The Spike can be fired non-line of sight. Thus protected by firing behind a hill or building. The operator then uses the tv camera to guide the missile. It is also better in that it does not need an infrared signature and thus can be fired at "cold" targets.
But I do concede that Javelin requires less operator skill and has a faster rate of fire as you do not need to guide each missile.
More like fire, aim patiently to hit the right spot, and quickly get the hell out of the firing range of the rest of the tanks accompanying the one that you fired at.
@superwout yes they are shooting at magach 6c an Israeli upgrade to the M60 Patton at the age of the Merkava what els is the IDF expected to do with those \out dated hunks of scrap metal?
invincible country, ivincible tank!! this is stupid, dosen't exist ivinciblity.... but i thing that the american people enjoy whith de guns very much... and the live isn't a film, or adverstiment of missiles.... the missiles hill pepople, where is the people in the tank? there isn't tank driver?
Interesting, and seemingly similar to the Javelin system, but with the addition of the fiber optic TOW line, and user aiming capabilities, I can see where this would excel in precision attacks. When they were showing that soldier adjusting the POI there, it almost looks like you could, if you're careful, send one through the hatch with a little practice.
You can. Infact, you could just blast that missile through gun barrel (not by flying inside barrel, those are too small), but just to destroy that gun. I have even seen video where gunner could have easily hit to a T-55s MG port. Or if tank has some anti-missile protection system, you could select a trajectory where that system can't do anything and maybe then avoid any ERA armour by hitting engine deck.
Faking this wideo... they wont get anything from it. You dont have to buy the product...you dont have to be scared of it.. this is just a presentation and theres no reason for it to be fake. Maybe i just didnt see it...
Not 100% true. They are mostly from USA and UK...(I dont know why I'm saying it like it's a good thing that UK were selling weapons to poeple, then complaining when they use them)

30 pouns is just a missile weight for metis-m, full feight of the sistem is about 52 pounds
same for kornet - 64 poun is just a missile weight, full system is twice heavier
eyazhuk 5 months ago
@eyazhuk I am afraid you are wrong, full system weight is 30 pounds and 64 pounds for the Kornet and Metis.
Kornet E missle on its own is 59 pounds.

Such jewish trash. WW2 tanks with simple smoke dispencers can easily evade this missile!

Usualy cheaper than Javelin, but in both cases missile launcher and about 10 reloads cost around 1 million USD.
That is, when buying in bulk.
