Thats not true. Dubai has next to no oil whatsoever. Dubai's wealth came from trade and tourism. The UAE is an oil rich country, but the vast majority of the Oil is from Abu Dhabi.

Dubai is over rated. I live in Dubai now. It's amazing place to visit, but extremely boring, too conservative and lots of double standards (locals do whatever they like, foreigners always get threatened with jail/deportation)....Dubai is really over rated.
