  • michael singing gardening at night live is a true joy.

love the energy and vocals on wolves.

  • It's one of the best EPs I've ever heard in my life-songs, and production. Not to mention any DEBUT release. Also the sound they had right from the start is amazing. They sounded like REM right from the start. Total originals as you pointed.

  • I want to hang out with you bro! i think we both like the same music and i would agree with most of your opinions

  • Anything from deadletter office on...sux....my opinion...But Chronic Town was my Fav record when i was about 13....

  • doucher

  • I loved this release. My favorite next to Fables and Lifes Rich Pageant.

CD owners- this EP is included on "Dead Letter Office".

  • Have you ever tried the Gardening at Night with the different vocal mix? I like it much more than the original on CT.

  • its weird that you hate gardening at night that much, its definitely not that offensive

  • @proffesornutbutter Personal tastes man. No biggie. :-) Thanks for the comment!

  • @SirAllAboutMusic so do you do reviews on any album someone requests? or just out of your own musical collection?

  • @proffesornutbutter I used to take album requests, but I don't anymore.

  • stumble is the best song on it so we agree on something!! lol!!

  • good review of the ep of rem, i thought the ep was really good, fiew songs i didnt like. my favorite song on the album is carnival of sorts(box cars)

  • R.E.M and The Smiths do indeed rule. Gardening At Night rules though man, way better than Carnival of Sorts IMO.

  • You and everyone else...lol

  • Actually, I don't know. Carnival of Sorts is actually one of the best tracks, I don't know why I said it was the worst track. The whole EP is great, there. :P

  • the Creedence Clearwater revival influence on early REM is evident

  • eh, I don't think so. If it's there, it's small. But I do hear Patti Smith all over early REM.
