If you were using these with another project, I bet you could cut croswise, leaving about 1-3 inches of straw, and then cut lengthwise notches to make the straw into tabs. Position, and then tape to your project...Tah dah!

Excellent video! I've made numerous roses and have used ball point pens as my base. I never thought of cutting the ends off the tape to make a rounded petal.
