It's funny how people judge the song by the anime where it is played. As long as I remember we're here for the songs and I like this one as I like most of Takanashi's works in Naruto, Fairy Tail, Shiki (some of my favorites), Evangelion and Seto no Hanayome (I'm not sure anymore but I think he worked in gantz too?). I like his style and honestly I don't think that a music is bad just because it is used on an anime I may not like.
