I was Lacie's friend - i'll never forget when she all told us bye before she went to Ohio for christmas - little did we know she was gone during the new year's party...i cried my eyes out the next day, thar was the top - buzz at my school, yes, Beau is still as happy as can be, playing with friends, laughing. They have memorials outside their school for them, shortly after that a girl from the same school, sierra in first grade passed away. RIP And love to them forever, i'll never 4 get u! ♥

makes me soo angry and sad to think that Brett, Beau, and Sydney will now have memories of tragedy and loss every Christmas for the rest of their lives. What is it going to take to get it through to people that drinking and driving just isn't worth the risk? I bet Gagnon finally 'gets it' now....sadly a little too late. Imagine the living h*ll he is going to have to live with for the rest of his life....knowing that he took the lives of a young mother, and 4 gorgeous little girls. I pity him.

You also missed Beau, Bethany's son who survived the crash largely uninjured(Gagnon faced no charges in light of Beau's limited injuries). Brett, Bethany's eldest son was not in the car, and was spending time with his father Jack, who lost his daughters Haley and Lacie in the crash.

I have to imagine Michael Gagnon dreams constantly of holding that dog again and would give anything to do so. I can just imagine the total nightmare he lives in every single second. The guy has to pay for his crime but part of me feels sorry that he threw his whole life away over one crazy decision. He probably isn't a bad person but yes, he did a hugely bad thing.

It's tragic to lose one family member to something completely avoidable like this but to lose mass members of yur family all at once like that to the same avoidable incident, is destroying. My prayers are with the surviving members of the family, my heart goes out to them and thank God the driver got 43 years, it doesn't bring back the lives he took but hopefully it'll be a comfort to know that he won't be taking any more and he'll have plenty of time to think about wut he's done.
