well, at least this video was educational even if it is elementary, because many people don't seem to know a thing about how they work... Noone can know everything, but this is ONE LESS THING to ponder for those who watched this ; )
I hate it when the title is "How It Works" and it spends over a third of the time telling you history and synonyms. Oh well, it's still a good explanation of how it works. I like the animation.
If they would have invented it together they would probably have called it the "Cumming-Crapper-Chair".

the flapper collapses when it can't stay up any more. If the flapper gets old and crusty then it wont stay up at all and u will have to replace it.
