This song turned me on to Morrissey and The Smiths. My friend was throwing out some albums that he found and said i would probably like it since i liked The Cure and DM , so i listened to it and instantly fell in love...that was 15yrs ago. Glad i picked up my friends trash that day.

It's saying about a bngali man who has dreams of the west and wants to be a face like everyone else is in the west (in his mind). But, when he gets there, he finds that "life is hard enough when you belong here" or even if you are British, you don't automatically get the lifestyle you dream of so wht chance does a foreigner have?
