  • Wow!

  • They were just a "Rat Pack" but they brought joy into our lives.

  • They don't make them like this anymore.

  • Real italian stallions.Birds & booze.

  • Dean didn't drink that much; that was part of his Shtick. He drank tea and acted drunk. (He was a better actor than he got credit for). He even drank from one of the tables in front of the stage--prepared beforehand. Tea.

  • This is long before Dean's last appearance, his last was on the Sammy Davis Jr's 60th Anniversary special in 1990, Dean Martin had the last television appearance.

  • did any of you happen to hear old Dino introducing the clip?? pay attention people..

  • He's someone you miss because he was a natural & also a hilarious comedian. No one has taken his place or come close. He was a pissa.

  • he had a wonderful voice too bad he drank himself to death. I always loved him no matter what he was in

  • @TheCodyjean Untrue! Dean was not a big drinker... Drank Martinellis!

  • He'd be 95 now. Be thankful for the time he was here & entertained us all because he was great.

  • @714AD AMEN!!!

  • We don't have good entertainment like this now -- now lots of ugly dress and filth.

  • This was not his last appearance. He had his own show in the 60 and early 70's.

  • this is last appearance

  • DEAN AND FRANK, HOW I LOOK FORWARD TO THOSE GUYS PREFORMING TOGETHER..HOW I MISS THEM..THEY WERE TWO OF A KIND..GOD HAS THEM KNOW..

  • Dino Croccetti..Steubenville, Ohio...silky smooth..a lost art!

  • idiot

  • Two of the greatest.

  • this was not his last appearance.

  • can i download the whole show somewhere???

  • Does anyone know what date this was?

  • what is the name of the song frank sings first ?

  • MERRY NEW YEAR!

  • dean was & still is "the king of cool"

  • Now after decades I finally know why Frank didn*T come when Dean said over the phone,Come-I*m dying (and he was) , :the reason was Frank was the next eic he would wake up to....n te Wine Seall R...ie cellar. Good Solldier Friending THATS* IT*.

  • When it was fun to entertain, and it was fun to watch, no electronics, just natural talent!

    The Screener

  • not much chance it was his last he lived another 37 years

  • thanks for posting....looks like the last time...at the end...

dean and frank porked hundreds of hot broads...lucky guys

  • actually...the last few seconds could be his last on tv.

  • ridiculous. he also had a variety show that was in color

  • @IRISHMIKE62 so was this, in color that is---this was his last known video of him talking to public/Frank-etc,

  • yeah how can this be his last appearance when he died in 1995

  • i think his last apperance was the happy birthday i love u thats all bit not the show part

  • This Clip was made in 1957..The Dean Martin Show TV variety - comedy series that ran from 1965 to 1974

  • @jamesojld not to mention i think he even did some interviews after his sons death. it was then you could tell what that did to him.

  • the originial bromance.

  • My only regret is not living in a time in which the rat pack existed.

  • Frank: Sweet Sweet!

    Dean: Wait...Hold it

    Frank:Sweet Sweet!

    Dean: Just hold it..

    Frank: SWEET SWEET!

    Dean:WAIT A MINUTE!

    Frank: SWEET! (High Pitched)

  • yEAH ... THIS IS NOT his last apperarance. I saw him perform every week during the 1960's & early 70's.

  • @teendramafreak89 It was likely his last actually. Watch the entire video. The audio dubbed at the beginning and the footage and audio at the end is a message to frank, this is from the early 90's

  • I miss you dean... every day :-/

  • This was aired in 1957 as it clearly states in the opening credit.

  • Last TV appearance? How do you explain Dean on The Tonight Show in 1969. This clip predates his own TV show.

  • I knew Dean Martin Many years ago after his son Dean Paul Died. We used Drink together at Carmine's in Century City. He was the nicest and kindest person I have ever had the privilege to meet. I have missed him tremendously. I will never forget him!

  • My mum used to watch him she saud that Dean would drink and smoke onstage and would get drunk easily the audience thought he was hiarious when drunk not knowing he suffered from alcoholism

  • @LeahJane1995 Most of the time he was drinking apple juice. The drunk act was schtick.

  • I think this was from the special celebrating Frank's 75th birthday in December 1990, 5 years before Dino passed on. Dino , who was 73 at the time looked pretty good. As Kenman22 correctly pointed out, Dino deteriorated pretty quickly the last 2 or 3 years of his life.

  • What year was this aired? That couldn't have been 1995 since his condition was pretty bad the last few years of his life.

  • lol at the people not getting their brain around the fact that its last second of the clip that was his last appearance ... dean martins LAST not frank&deans last.

Now you go brainstorm a cookie recepie

  • we're probably talking about the last 5 seconds of this clip: Dean wishing Frank Sinatra a happy birthday, which was on december 12th. Dean died on december 25th, 1995

  • I'm just a worthless whelp at 45, but, the ratpack was the BEST! The smiles, fun, charisma, and all out fun is matchless! They went the school of hard knocks(did it the best they could- my way!) and figured it out- like me, love me- don't like me, sorry. Not in the way, but you WON't stop me from doing what I want to do. Besides they were good at it! They loved to have fun and share it! Made a life out of screwing off! Lesson to be learned! Laugh.love and share!

  • Last TV Apperearance? You must be daff. He had his own show in the 60's! Heck Rodney Dangerfield and Paul Lynne were on it!

  • I remember this show very well. And his appearance at the end of this clip really was, sadly, his last television appearance.

  • Souvenir...

  • when stars were stars...

  • Jinkies! Dino did not look healthy at the end. But few men do at that advanced age & who have lost all their teeth. But what a wonderful full head of hair he had up to his dying day. Ol balding Blue Eyes I'm sure wished he'd had Dino's lucious locks!

  • Dean Martin died on his birthday as you say 1995 Christmas day

  • I would think Dean was wishing Frank a happy 80th birthday which was December 12th 1995...Dean Martin died December 25th 1995.

  • Dean Martin was off Television for a long time., before he died. The end pic people, not the one where he was sitting with Frank Sinatra.

  • Dean Martin was off Television for a long time., before he died.

  • And Mr. Martin, we love and adore you. Wish you were still here.

  • Don"t Get me wrong i love Frank, but he never could top Dean

  • Dean died in 1995

  • @theballer04 're wrong! he is still alive in our hearts Dino will never die!

  • I love ya, that's all. < Epic.

  • Dean: one girl

    Frank: thats nice

    Dean: one boy

    Frank: not so nice

  • Why would be his last appearance in 1957? I Dont get it...

  • @SingleLaadies The bit at the end is the last appearance, the other parts are clips includede in that show...

  • If my lips should meet with Frank Sinatra's (8) xD

  • i think dean had a more smooth voice than frank but frank had probably the better voice and probably the best voice ever, but what i loved about these two and the whole rat pack is that none of them were aiming to be better they were all just there having fun they were amazing

  • R u people serious?? They r talking about his appearance at the end of the clip as being his last...cmon use some common sense..how can the old clips be his last???. Wow

  • @skipdillard i agree this is not his last appearance ...someone got their info wrong...these two men are the best..bring back the old shows and get rid of the filth and cursing of the new ones

  • @skipdillard This clip is from a show made in December of 1990, which included the old clips. It is Frank Sinatra's 75th Birthday Special. Marin's lung cancer was diagnosed in 1993 and he passed away in 1995. The video needs to make all of that more clear, as it certainly comes cross like clips from 1957 to 1964, but it really is from a 1990 special.

  • I think that was the week before Frank started wearing a tupee.

  • I liked Frank Sinatra! But I have always loved Dean Martin! To me Dean was the best in everything he did! :)

  • I think Frank was the better singer but Dean was a better entertainer. Any time they are performing together your eyes are more likely to go to Dean first. Great and touching video.

  • I agree Dean was the better singer. I loved Dean Martin. He was so versatile. He could sing, do comedy and drama. Even westerns.

  • Dino was the better singer

  • @caradino1 this was done in the 1950s

  • Comment removed

  • Where can the full series of these shows be found? There is decades of Golden moments.. Frank Sinatra Show, The Dino Show ect

  • Dean appeared on Sammy Davis Jr`s 60th anniversary in 1990, so to say that this was Deans last tv apperance is bullshit!

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Uh...... the clip at the end was from a television special commemorating Sinatra's 70th birthday. It was very much Dean's last television appearance.

  • @DavidTyler1 well it wouldnt be Sinatra's 70th Birthday cos he died aged 82, so unless Dean was of TV for 12years I dont think so. :/

  • This was December 1986, on Frank Sinatra's 70th Birthday. Dean's last appearance is at the very end of this video.

  • I guess the confusion might be that this is a clip compilation show, with Dean, in color, at the very end, looking older and more haggard.

  • I agree with the poster. There is no way Dean had a show at this point in his career. Very touching video.

  • NOT EVEN CLOSE.....deano continued on TV even until the late 80's! no where near his last appearance.

  • this might be his last appearence on the Dean Martin Show, he had been on Johnny Carson in COLOR!!

  • The title "last appearance" might mean when you see Dean at the very end.

  • Last appearance...that's inaccurate! He had his own show a few years later!

  • i love dean, but he did appear on tv after this

  • I agree with the person who posted this clip; this was Dean's last appearance on TV.

  • last one in B & W !! maybe

  • Yeah? Doing what?

  • We miss you, Dino. May you RIP.

  • R.I.P...........Dean Martin Sr.
