fyi, the speaker near her is not emitting any sound. if you notice her attention, it is directed towards an area off the screen. this does not "hurt" her ears, for you dummies out there. howling is a behavior used for communication. whimpering/cowering would be a sign of pain. i had some stupid cow tell i was causing her pain.
