God I miss Mendocino!! I lived in Mendo and in Little River and I have tell you I have never been any where more beautiful and pristine. If I had not gone through a divorce I would still be there. I LOVE the people, the culture, the slow way of life and the politics(lol) in regards to 4lostinAmericas Bullsh!@#$ statement... Much light to you all on the coast I will be back!
Too bad Mendo has to use a day of celebration for a soapbox to promote a political agenda(either side). Aren't all of the bumperstickers plastered on your Subaru's, enough to get your point across? It's ashamed such a beautiful town has been ruined by Dope Growers/Smokers. When I was a kid the town was almost heaven until the hitch hikers passing thru on their way to the Monterrey Pop Festival decided to come back to the area and stay.

News flash: without the cannabis economy, Mendocino and the rest of northwest California would be an economic basket case. We've cut down 98% of the trees, and ruined the fisheries. There's not much else here upon which to base an economy. We can't all get jobs as $8/hr motel maids.
