  • I'm gonna have to slightly side with Craig here...if you are a Waits or Cave fan or jacque Brul fan you can see her mix of cabaret and contemporary dark poetry. By advertising it as a 'family' event is misleading but I would suggest that a little research wouldn't hurt (if situation allows). I have seen her twice and loved the performance - but I knew what to expect. It wasn't like a day trip to butlins - but i am guessing and hoping you are slightly more cultured than that.

  • I'm going to make an assumption......

Your name is PippinFamily. The only way syou could think her dresses are innappropriate are if you're a prude or you were silly enough to take your 'family' along, if that family includes little children.

She's wild and a seductress, thats her act.

I suggest to you if you want perfect pitch and conservative attire then the opera is the place for you. Don't rain on somebody else's career because you made a poor choice to attend.

  • What a damned silly comment.

The entire performance was vile. It was advertised as a FAMILY performance suitable for children in Birmingham. The tickets were free.

I was appalled and disgusted and it is the worst performance of ANYTHING that I have ever attended anywhere.

We go to all kinds of theatre, something different every week, and this is most definitely the one I would least bother to cross the road to see.

Ugh. I recommend to ANYONE that you don't waste your money.
