I'm gonna have to slightly side with Craig here...if you are a Waits or Cave fan or jacque Brul fan you can see her mix of cabaret and contemporary dark poetry. By advertising it as a 'family' event is misleading but I would suggest that a little research wouldn't hurt (if situation allows). I have seen her twice and loved the performance - but I knew what to expect. It wasn't like a day trip to butlins - but i am guessing and hoping you are slightly more cultured than that.

When I saw her, the backing group were good, but she is THE SINGLE WORST act I have ever seen. Her posters claim that she does David Bowey songs, etc., but she will never reach his standard.

My suggestion is that she goes back to her day job and doesn't waste more people's money and time in going to see her.

Her dresses were inappropriate and badly made, her singing was out of tune and just simply bad.

The worst evening out I've ever had.

Your name is PippinFamily. The only way syou could think her dresses are innappropriate are if you're a prude or you were silly enough to take your 'family' along, if that family includes little children.

She's wild and a seductress, thats her act.

I suggest to you if you want perfect pitch and conservative attire then the opera is the place for you. Don't rain on somebody else's career because you made a poor choice to attend.

What a damned silly comment.

The entire performance was vile. It was advertised as a FAMILY performance suitable for children in Birmingham. The tickets were free.

I was appalled and disgusted and it is the worst performance of ANYTHING that I have ever attended anywhere.

We go to all kinds of theatre, something different every week, and this is most definitely the one I would least bother to cross the road to see.

Ugh. I recommend to ANYONE that you don't waste your money.
