Don't anyone ever mention runescpae when talking about mmorpg's. It is the single worst mmo ever, fact. Once you've played a REAL mmo you'll never go back to runescape - and any gamers will agree with me on this. I'm no hardcore gamer, because my attention span doesn't last that long lol, but i know to play real games, and not runescape.

What i dont like about MMORPG's is that all the A.I. are perfectly space out from each other. Like in WoW how all the wolves are spaced out and just walking back and forth. They should be grouped like real wolves and hunting or something like that, not just wandering in a confined area.
WoW has random NPCs that walk around in a confined area an they also have other NPCs that track much farther distances. not the perfect AI, but there is more to it than that.
Played WoW ... Over rated ... I was addicted for like ... umm 3 months. Its the same thing "attack ... level up ... get new skills ..." thats all there really is to it. Im glad I never made it to lv 70 or 80 for that matter lol It was the BEST though to play in a PvP server and challenge other guilds. And yeah. You have to pay monthly ... pay for a server swap ... Just a big money maker. And FUCK Gnomes ... little shitts ... just stupid looking ...
Its about much more the just attacking - lvling up and getting new skills. You cant rate the game before you reach max lvl, cause thats when the fun part starts. Getting friends, playing with them, might even join a guild. You can have a lot of fun raiding if you got a guild with some great members.
So before you start talking bad about it, you should try the whole game.

Housing adds quality to a mmorpg. A place you can call home in a game you love is just priceless. A slow leveling crafting system with a quick leveling class system. I would put a skill based system instead of the more common level system. I wouldn't spend a fortune on graphics, would love a smooth movement like in wow but no ultra high quality graphics, that's useless if you ask me. With pvp depending on region, somewhat like in wow, and a full loot system like in darkfall.
The only problem I found with Darkfall is the full pvp. They just started and already a bunch of higher levels are grouping up and killing solo low ''level'' players, which is not, if you ask me, pvp playing. Running around and killing only players you know you can kill is not pvp.
I've never played an MMO. The exchange rate makes it very expensive, I think, plus on a 384k ADSL line (Max in South Africa is 4mb) with a 2gb per month data cap, I wouldn't think it would perform very well.
In runescape they have gods were people folo and fight and it also has diff things he was talking about and it is the biggest Java game with more subs then wow but less active players.. and weekly up dates + 5.95 a month for mem
i admit to that! runescape does have nicer ppl then WoW but 145mill ppl dont play sure it has 140mill accounts but not all of them play only abouti say about 200k play a day on runescape .
Runescape I think is better. Easier to play, I've met nicer people on Runescape than what I did on WoW and I have 145 million people to back me up. Also, I think the realism and graphics of Runescape is more my type.
I'm not saying I don't like WoW, just that I prefer Runescape. :-)
I wouldn't agree that it has overall downgraded as an mmo, it's getting more and more players everyday. Yes, some aspects of the game haven't been used or tampered with in the best of ways, but I still think it;s very addicitive and a good hobby.
Also, what amazes me kis that Runescape is based on a normal internet browser, nothing has to be downloaded apart from Java, you can get playing in seconds.
Wait, are you saying that 145 million people play Runescape? II highly doubt it is even close to that. WoW is still the most widely played mmorpg to my knowledge and last time I checked it was around 10 million subscribers. That was a while ago though.
Well according to Jagex's post on their homepage, 145 million accounts have been made. Maybe not all people, but still I'd say a good 70 million people play.
As time passes new buildings are torn and replaced, new items surge like cellphones, and new models for vehicles and stuff. Aside from police and hippies there are the normal citizens (which are npcs).
"If Gods were real" ----- This is completely irrelevant to the video but I just wanna point out this guy has unconsciously revealed he's an atheist.
I want an MMO set in the 70's-80's, based in London, where there's 2 sides, the police and the hippies. The gameplay mechanics should be like WOW (for mounts theres bikes, motorcycles, cars, ect.). Also you can switch between thirdperson and firstperson (in both melee weapons on guns). The world keeps changing, and on every 24 hours 5 days pass.
Are gods real? That's a great question for another episode. Maybe we'll bring Jonas back for that one.
I think the cops vs hippies thing would be fun for maybe a day or two, but would become tired pretty quickly. It doesn't have the mythological & historic depth that orcs, dragons wizards do.
MMORPG's are fun but shooters are somewhat better. i still like MMO's but you can't get enough satisfaction from blowing some assholes head off :D plus the women is a tard.

Housing adds quality to a mmorpg. A place you can call home in a game you love is just priceless. A slow leveling crafting system with a quick leveling class system. I would put a skill based system instead of the more common level system. I wouldn't spend a fortune on graphics, would love a smooth movement like in wow but no ultra high quality graphics, that's useless if you ask me. With pvp depending on region, somewhat like in wow, and a full loot system like in darkfall.

Darkfall is about the damn best MMO out there, Ill admit they have sync issues and so on but in a couple months it will be even better.

The only problem I found with Darkfall is the full pvp. They just started and already a bunch of higher levels are grouping up and killing solo low ''level'' players, which is not, if you ask me, pvp playing. Running around and killing only players you know you can kill is not pvp.

I've never played an MMO. The exchange rate makes it very expensive, I think, plus on a 384k ADSL line (Max in South Africa is 4mb) with a 2gb per month data cap, I wouldn't think it would perform very well.

In runescape they have gods were people folo and fight and it also has diff things he was talking about and it is the biggest Java game with more subs then wow but less active players.. and weekly up dates + 5.95 a month for mem

i admit to that! runescape does have nicer ppl then WoW but 145mill ppl dont play sure it has 140mill accounts but not all of them play only abouti say about 200k play a day on runescape .

Runescape I think is better. Easier to play, I've met nicer people on Runescape than what I did on WoW and I have 145 million people to back me up. Also, I think the realism and graphics of Runescape is more my type.
I'm not saying I don't like WoW, just that I prefer Runescape. :-)

Although that does not represent active or single players.
=/ RS is a poor example of a mmo It has downgraded over time.
Mmos in general have not overcome singleplayer games as more fun, it's simple the fact you can interact with other players guaranteed it's success.

I wouldn't agree that it has overall downgraded as an mmo, it's getting more and more players everyday. Yes, some aspects of the game haven't been used or tampered with in the best of ways, but I still think it;s very addicitive and a good hobby.
Also, what amazes me kis that Runescape is based on a normal internet browser, nothing has to be downloaded apart from Java, you can get playing in seconds.

Wait, are you saying that 145 million people play Runescape? II highly doubt it is even close to that. WoW is still the most widely played mmorpg to my knowledge and last time I checked it was around 10 million subscribers. That was a while ago though.

Well according to Jagex's post on their homepage, 145 million accounts have been made. Maybe not all people, but still I'd say a good 70 million people play.

"If Gods were real" ----- This is completely irrelevant to the video but I just wanna point out this guy has unconsciously revealed he's an atheist.
I want an MMO set in the 70's-80's, based in London, where there's 2 sides, the police and the hippies. The gameplay mechanics should be like WOW (for mounts theres bikes, motorcycles, cars, ect.). Also you can switch between thirdperson and firstperson (in both melee weapons on guns). The world keeps changing, and on every 24 hours 5 days pass.

I think the cops vs hippies thing would be fun for maybe a day or two, but would become tired pretty quickly. It doesn't have the mythological & historic depth that orcs, dragons wizards do.

The reason why WoW is so popular, is it is super simplified for all the morons out there.
Sure it can be entertaining, but so was City of Heroes, for a short time. Simplified and one dimensional.
