I want to use this camera for recording drum videos, i don't care about the audio because i will be recording the drums separetly. I will be using i on a tripod, in a well lighted room. I want to know if it's still on the tripod will it take clear images of fast moving arms and hands?? if not what would you recommend I want to buy a least 3 cameras for angles with minimum bank posible. I really need all the help because i don't know much about cameras. thanks!!!
If viewed in HD you can tell the video is higher quality than one that only can shoot at 640x480 and can only shoot in HQ setting for youtube.
This camera does has flaws though. This camera can't record in Stereo. This camera has an internal battery. This camera can record only up to 25 minutes of video and then shut off.
If you don't mind any of the limitations then this is a good budget HD camcorder. The problems with it do make it a bargain. You can get the Webbie on ebay for about $100.
hey! do you think you can help me to figure out how to broadcast videos in hd with my webbie camera? and of course, how to use it as a webcam? I still can not get the gist of HD on youtube. I use imovie 08 by the way
You can't use the software that the webbie comes with to upload. That shrinks the videos down to standard definition. You have to upload through the website, and make sure that when you edit it it doesn't end up coming out in standard definition.
Unfortunatley this is something that might happen when using iMovie's stabilization feature, but it's better than nothing. It works a lot better for videos shot from a moving vehicle, which is what it was meant for (like if you went on a safari or something).
Image stabilization is on the camera, may not be available on 1080p setting (depending on camera model and such) should be a setting to turn it on or off.
I have this model and I was really impress with it quality. Uploading any video to youtube will be distorted whether it is standard or high definition since the video is so compresses. Youtube does not do this product any justice. I like this model so much with all it features and ease of handeling that I bought its smaller counter part MHS-PM1. I HAVE A 50 inch Samung HD TV and it the video and color looks great. However that is my opinion.
hey man im gettin a webbie hd soon and i was just wondering, im not sure what all the numbers where on the title like if it ment a different model, im just gettin the one that is kinda more bulky than the vertical one, will it have the same good quality?
yes it will. the bulky one, the one with a flip out screen will have the same quality. i'm not to sure what the difference is between the two, if there is any, but i think the the vertical one is for people who just want a small camcorder.
i´m from argentina.. and yesterday i bougth this camera..
its great , but i´m havem problems to edit the videos. my PC doesnt seems to have the rigth codecs... or something.. when i open my moveie captures in vegas it doesnt play it very well.
@Vaxxel I use it one my channel for skate videos and it works great so check out my videos and decide for yourself if you want to try it, i recommend it
Wooooo... why sony make a camera that shoot out of focus... really it is like mobile camera

that stabilization looks like it does it's job of "stabilizing" but it makes the top and bottom of the screen wavy... kinda like i'm tripping...
vistaway3008 2 years ago
the waviness is due to the cmos sensor. they are easily overwhelmed by movement.

JeanV1986 2 years ago
stabilizer is not meant for car driving it's for holding in your hand.

So,
How exactly do you do the stabilization? cause it looks better? but do you need that iMovie '09 for it?

.mp4 file with H264.

can you help me?

lukas745 2 years ago
I think you need very high spec PC with hardware H264 accelerator.
I have a PC which has DualCore-3GHz CPU without hardware H264 accelerator. It's not enough to play 1080p video.
mmtSilvermoon 2 years ago
what fps did you record it in? and would it be possible to record high speed events in high quality? such as skate videos?
Vaxxel 2 years ago
up to 30fps.
I can not say anything because I'm not sure what kind video you want to take.
I can say just it's not good for shaky video.
mmtSilvermoon 2 years ago
@Vaxxel I use it one my channel for skate videos and it works great so check out my videos and decide for yourself if you want to try it, i recommend it

1. good except narrow latitude.
2. Yes.
mmtSilvermoon 3 years ago
Two questions.
1st.
How do you like it overall?
2nd.
In the 1080p test, is that 4th ave in San Mateo?
Wynner3 3 years ago
does the webbie import directly into iMovie? or do you need to re-encode first?
chjabu 3 years ago
It's direct.
mmtSilvermoon 3 years ago
Why does this camera produce such strange looking video? It looks like flat planes (like walls) move in an "undulating" way. Weird.
Mariusz0Industries 3 years ago
Which picture do you talk about? with stabilization? or without that?
iMovie can make a movie little bit "undulating".
mmtSilvermoon 3 years ago
I thought the camera doesn't come with stabilization. Is the stabilization done within the movie editor?
peisen 3 years ago
This camera has stabilization but it's only for 720p. But iMovie has more powerful stabilization.
