  • Wooooo... why sony make a camera that shoot out of focus... really it is like mobile camera

  • How do you turn on stabilization? or is that in your video editing software?

  • I want to use this camera for recording drum videos, i don't care about the audio because i will be recording the drums separetly. I will be using i on a tripod, in a well lighted room. I want to know if it's still on the tripod will it take clear images of fast moving arms and hands?? if not what would you recommend I want to buy a least 3 cameras for angles with minimum bank posible. I really need all the help because i don't know much about cameras. thanks!!!

  • Thank you...That looks awful

  • very poor quality...

  • very poor quality...

  • clear pic

  • this is shit

  • go east bay!

  • thank you for posting this Im shopping for a new camera and videos like this help :-)

  • wow, that looks like shit

  • if its a lot better, how is this a CLOSE second?

  • If viewed in HD you can tell the video is higher quality than one that only can shoot at 640x480 and can only shoot in HQ setting for youtube.

This camera does has flaws though. This camera can't record in Stereo. This camera has an internal battery. This camera can record only up to 25 minutes of video and then shut off.

If you don't mind any of the limitations then this is a good budget HD camcorder. The problems with it do make it a bargain. You can get the Webbie on ebay for about $100.

  • I would say that the Zi6 is much better

  • why does it look so choppy and it doesnt look like an hd resolution?

  • Thanks for this!

  • how much does it cost

  • at walmart its $169.99

  • thanks, this really helped me make my choice, shoulda floored it on the thru way wondering how it would be then lol

  • thank you for this video

  • Hey did you shoot this in the Bay Area? Did you know that you can use the Sony Webbie as a webcam?

  • hey! do you think you can help me to figure out how to broadcast videos in hd with my webbie camera? and of course, how to use it as a webcam? I still can not get the gist of HD on youtube. I use imovie 08 by the way

  • that stabilization looks like it does it's job of "stabilizing" but it makes the top and bottom of the screen wavy... kinda like i'm tripping...

  • the waviness is due to the cmos sensor. they are easily overwhelmed by movement.

  • highway 237!haha

  • nice picture^^

  • Great video!! I LOVE my MAC. imovie is amazing. Once you go MAC, you never go back!! LOL

  • true, very true....=)

  • how did you convert the keynote slides "at first" to a video?

  • so u uploaded it from imovie right?

  • wow that imovie stabilization is amazing.

too bad i dont have $1200 for a mac.... :(

  • Buy a used one they are just as nice and a lot cheaper.

  • you can buy a 100$, enthusiast-level, video editing software for your PC. Easy and simple.

  • it looks standard def not high def, and mic is awful, iu guess u get what u pay 4, thank god im getting JVC GZ-HD10 not this 1. Nice Upload though :D

  • You can't use the software that the webbie comes with to upload. That shrinks the videos down to standard definition. You have to upload through the website, and make sure that when you edit it it doesn't end up coming out in standard definition.

  • are these all caught using the sony webbie?

  • Very informative.. Unlike Fry's employees! ;D

  • great video. very informative. Great comparisons. Wish I could find such helpful and simple videos on more products! lol.

  • Yeah! That's what I was thinking! This video helped me a lot.

  • Why does the background appear to be wobbling?

  • thats the stabilization mode in iMovie

  • Unfortunatley this is something that might happen when using iMovie's stabilization feature, but it's better than nothing. It works a lot better for videos shot from a moving vehicle, which is what it was meant for (like if you went on a safari or something).

  • youtube always makes the video quality worse when you upload anything thats why

  • how much did it cost?

  • What is iMovie. Is the stabilization feature in that program or software or is there a mode in the camera itself. My movies 1080p real jerky. Help.

  • iMovie is softward that comes with Macs.

Image stabilization is on the camera, may not be available on 1080p setting (depending on camera model and such) should be a setting to turn it on or off.

  • hey when you edited this in imovie did you have to switch any settings to make it HD?

  • you're using the imovie stabilization?

  • nicely done

  • Okay, I recendly purchased MHS-CM1 and I haven't found out HOW to turn the stabilization on or off.

    Can someone please help?

  • The stabilization gives the impression of being under water.

  • Nice ! LOL, my channel name is SonyWebbie !

  • The focus on it was a little messed up though.

  • omg yo i was almost sick when it was on stabilization omg it was like i was on a boat or drunk

  • itd be great if the movie didnt play in picture. and skip through the whole damn thing

  • the hd is great

  • do you just choose the 1080p option while your recording?

  • yes

  • please i need some help and fast i am about to buy a sony hdd DCR-SX40 4 GB but i saw the hd webbie and i dont know which one to buy help!

  • is the sony webbie hd worth it? like, would you recommend it?

  • I have this model and I was really impress with it quality. Uploading any video to youtube will be distorted whether it is standard or high definition since the video is so compresses. Youtube does not do this product any justice. I like this model so much with all it features and ease of handeling that I bought its smaller counter part MHS-PM1. I HAVE A 50 inch Samung HD TV and it the video and color looks great. However that is my opinion.

  • Does the sony webbie have an external mic jack?

  • No, it does not have an external mic jack

  • is it just my slow ass computer? or does the video seem to lag and freeze up alot?

  • no its YouTube , when you watch YouTube videos in hd , YouTube actually cuts the frames in half.

  • Slow computer

  • even tho youtube only goes up to 720p the 1080p looks better

  • YouTube HD is not HD really

  • i know but it still looks better even when compressed

  • yep it not true hd if you look at tv cameras the have 3 ccds sony hd webbie mhs-cm1 only has 2 ccd and ccds make the picture clear and smooth

  • oh god I need to upgrade my computer it all ways lags on HD vids. Does anybody know of a good video card?

  • The stabilized version looks horrible! It's like everything is being deformed :s

  • stabilizer is not meant for car driving it's for holding in your hand.

  • So,

How exactly do you do the stabilization? cause it looks better? but do you need that iMovie '09 for it?

  • Yes, I would like to know also?? I think it's an iMovie feature. Def. would help on my vlogs.

  • kodak zx1 is betta

  • hey man im gettin a webbie hd soon and i was just wondering, im not sure what all the numbers where on the title like if it ment a different model, im just gettin the one that is kinda more bulky than the vertical one, will it have the same good quality?

  • yes it will. the bulky one, the one with a flip out screen will have the same quality. i'm not to sure what the difference is between the two, if there is any, but i think the the vertical one is for people who just want a small camcorder.

  • .mp4 file with H264.

    iMovie read it directly.

  • Thanks, I just happen to have a new macbook, just didn't use imovie since my older macbook and never used that feature. Thanks again for the reply.

  • is the stabilization done in camera? Or post process in iMovie?

  • Hey... can i ask you a question..?¡

i´m from argentina.. and yesterday i bougth this camera..

its great , but i´m havem problems to edit the videos. my PC doesnt seems to have the rigth codecs... or something.. when i open my moveie captures in vegas it doesnt play it very well.

    can you help me?

    thanx,

  • I think you need very high spec PC with hardware H264 accelerator.

I have a PC which has DualCore-3GHz CPU without hardware H264 accelerator. It's not enough to play 1080p video.

  • what fps did you record it in? and would it be possible to record high speed events in high quality? such as skate videos?

  • up to 30fps.

I can not say anything because I'm not sure what kind video you want to take.

I can say just it's not good for shaky video.

  • @Vaxxel I use it one my channel for skate videos and it works great so check out my videos and decide for yourself if you want to try it, i recommend it

  • 1. good except narrow latitude.

    2. Yes.

  • Two questions.

    1st.

How do you like it overall?

    2nd.

In the 1080p test, is that 4th ave in San Mateo?

  • does the webbie import directly into iMovie? or do you need to re-encode first?

  • It's direct.

  • Why does this camera produce such strange looking video? It looks like flat planes (like walls) move in an "undulating" way. Weird.

  • Which picture do you talk about? with stabilization? or without that?

iMovie can make a movie little bit "undulating".

  • I thought the camera doesn't come with stabilization. Is the stabilization done within the movie editor?

  • This camera has stabilization but it's only for 720p. But iMovie has more powerful stabilization.
