The printer we are using is Epson D120 with a Sawgrass Bulk Ink System. But now day's the best printer to use the Ricoh GXE3300N. You can contact us for more details and if you want to purchase one.
You will have to test your paper for suitability, depending on what printer you are using. We only sell Sawgrass Sublimation paper as this has proved to be the best available.
You can use the Sawgrass Chromablast paper and inks for cotton that we sell.
Otherwise, please look at the Inkjet and Laser jet papers that we sell. These work very well on cotton. With the Inkjet you can use any printer you want. Please refer to our web site.
You can see the products and prices on our web site.
Sawgrass have a world-wide patent on sublimation inks. The plain sublimation paper we sell is also Sawgrass.
You can use any printer that is compatible with Sawgrass inks and systems. The best printer we would suggest is the Ricoh GXE3300N. We sell this and it comes with special software for doing printing only available from us.
You can only use the sublimation printed paper once.
Hi , your vid is very informative , the only question I have is, the use of cotton is my preferred choice , but you are using a polyester tee shirt , how can I use this system on cotton succesfully .
Yes, sublimation printing should last longer especially on polyester fabrics as the ink turns into a gas and is dyed into the yarn. On sublimation coated products, it will last s long as the coating remains intact.
The main difference between sublimation and printing is that you are not placing an ink on top of the fabric that can get worn out!
So what is the quality of the print like does it crack or fade? Do shirts with sublimation coatings need to be washed a certain way or is it just like any other t-shirt?
Sublimation print on 100% polyester will not crack or fade. It will outlast the life of the garment. Sublimation printing turns the ink into a gas that dies the yarn and does not sit on top like screen print.
I have the very same printer and all my printing turns up either blotched and/or bleeding right through the paper. Is there a special setting you have to set your printer,,or ir it the sublimation paper I'm using,,,any help would be grateful
etc supplies
I think you are using the wrong type of sublimation paper or ink.
The paper should be a standard sublimation for use on polyester and inkjet sublimation for cotton and blends. The ink should be sublimation ink.

I have the very same printer and sublimation paper. I have an issue with ink blotching/bleeding right through the paper. Because of this the picture comes out all blurry and unusable. I tried on other type of paper surface and picture is very nice. Is there a different setting on the printer I should be setting it at?
Awesome :) We are in the screenprint business but we're planning to buy some DTG or Epson 1800 with sublimation inks 'coz we have t-shirt web shops now and we need to offer quick delivery. Can you tell me is there some subli transfers for black garment? Thank you very much
If you want a easy life then I would suggest you stay with Sublimation instead of DTG.
With sublimation you can get Inkjet dark papers for use on dark garments. This is a white paper that is printed onto and it is then heat pressed onto the garment. The white of the paper acts as the whit ink!
Please e-mail me from our web site if you need more help.
You need to use inkjet dark for dark garments. Be aware the washability of these dark papers is not great as you are heat pressing the paper onto the garment!

Hello,
Yes, you print direct onto sublimation paper using sublimation ink. Then you place the paper on top of your garment etc. and heat-press. That's it!

Hi, I'm interested in printing a few t-shirts for myself but can I ask.
What's the benifit of using Sublimation Paper and Sublimation Ink? Rather than something like an Inkjet printer and some normal heat transfer paper.
AidanLord 2 years ago
@AidanLord
To do proper sublimation printing you must use sublimation inks and sublimation papers. Standard inks and papers will not work.
