  • is 19-20 feet in long jump good for a sophomore in high school? i got 18 in the summer after freshemn year and i ran XC and played basketball and went to the weight room alot this year so i think i could jump about 19 feet now?

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm ill help boss, take a vid of u long jumpin and send it to me through mail, i can tell you were your going wrong, im a sophomore (upcoming) and finally reached my new PR the other morning with 20'7... my mistake was my last 3 steps.. i was only getting 19 my freshiee year

  • @TheBmartin6 hey thanks ill make a video, i had some 19-19.5 footers but they were all faults, my coach said that whenever i pull out a big jump im always a little bit faster than my regular approach so im trying to fix that now in aau track, ive had some jumps at half speed going off a 4 inch springboard at 21 feet, so i dont know what it would be around at full approach without the springboard maybe you would know, but whatever ill try to make a video soon, thanks again

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm no problem, but i dont jump with springboards, i think it feels like cheating... but yeah man just hit me up when u get the vids in :D

  • booked it down the runway!!! this was a pretty explosive long jump. nice!!

  • disreguarding bryce love that kids an animal

  • ok if any of these kids were telling the truth theyd be top in state and i dont see any of thouse names in NC top 400 runners soo lol

  • yeah i was there when it happened, the kid is fast as hell i wouldnt doubt it if he ended up going to the olympics. sucks for me because we both live in north carolina.

  • lmao 52.3 aint shit for a 400

  • @Exploits27, well whens the last time you ran a 52.3 in middle school... that was in eight grade then, now im a freshman in high school and i run a 50.8... dont hate...

  • @Exploits27 plus jumping is my expertise, not running.

  • my best is about 6'

  • @liljalen123, that is an absolute lie dude.

  • @TheMatt20131 no, its not, im also 5th in the nation for high jump (for my age), best freshman high jumper in the nation, and 22nd in the nation for the 400 meter run once again for my age with a time of 52.3 seconds. if you dont believe me follow this link. ncallstarsDOTorg/News/019_3_starsDOThtml

  • @liljalen123, dude. i dont know who 2 look 4, u gotta tell me a name.

  • @TheMatt20131 jalen ware

  • @liljalen123, ok. nice man! how do u get 2 all these places 2 compete?

  • @TheMatt20131 well first you have got to join a usatf (U.S.A. track and field) track team. Usually meets are in your state unless you qualify for nationals, luckily for me, nationals were in north Carolina last year like 20 minutes away from me, but if i qualify for nationals this year they are Sacramento, California. if you plan on joining a team hurry. the season starts in a month.

  • @liljalen123, its ok then. im doin track in school rite now.

  • @TheMatt20131, haha same here.

  • yo do you have any tips for me, im a junior and my farthest is 22' 1

  • theres really no advice to give, keep up the good work i guess, and u know make sure your foot placement is spot on and all that important stuff

  • I am in the back lol just wait seth i got you this year lol

  • Damn, dude, you got any scholarship offers yet?
