That's how I could tell; katana's have more curved edges, like this /) Ninjatos have edges like this /| but I have seen people use that technique with both swords.  and the Chinese broadswords. I think Japan copied it, but then added on to it

@TetsuMatiaro the movie is good as action movie, but the ninja accept here is a bit overwhelming.. i mean all the blood.. and ninja's running over the highway -_- i mean come on.. ninja's suppose to be stealth, and in the dark. Though i thought the healing scene and little stuff like that taken from anime ninja's like naruto is very nice touch on it... but they used too much special effects and the fighting could have been greater then this...

@ghossler Well, if I'm not completely blind, the ninjas had no choice but to run at the highway, since they were chasing Raizo :D And yes, there's a lot of blood. I find it more realistic than that there wouldn't be blood at all, or very little amount of it. And hey, there's also scenes with ninjas crawling in the dark, right? IMO, the fighting wasn't so bad, at least it entertained me. I don't mind it even if someone tells me I have a bad movie taste :P
