Yeah I work there as a tech. and I feel you. The company sucks and doesn't pay us shit so we try to fuck everybody until we find new jobs. PS-Don't buy pep boys parts-they suck and you sometimes have to grind metal and brake lining off to get them to fit-scary. I miss getting unemployment.
Do you really need the drilled and slotted rotors, whats wrong with just using new standard rotors. Sure it looks nice but unless you're racing or towing is there really a need.
i have drilled and slotted rotors on my bmw and i would say 50% better stopping power and have got them hot several times and they never cracked or warped i also upgraded to stainless steel brake lines
I just upgraded my rear disc rotors to the same crossdrilled and slotted rotors from Summit Racing along with a set of high performance ceramic brake pads and braking performance has been even further improved. The before and after videos are on my site...
As long as the holes are chamfered and the slots are cut smoothly then there is basically zero chance that the rotor will crack or even warp. The holes allows the hot gasses that build up between the pads and the rotors to escape. I have had my front cross drilled and slotted rotors installed for over a year with a set of high performance ceramic brake pads and everything still looks and performs like new.
dude, you could not be more wrong ! When i upgraded my front rotors to the slotted crossdrilled ones, the difference was like night and day in terms of performance ! Theres just no comparison !
Did your batteries die?

Cross drilles/slotted rotors serve no functional purpose other than looks.
They actually shorten pad life.
