  • ''Lion Locks Rory'' and buckets full of feelings - Every note a feeling every gesture a gentleman-I miss the authenticity big time - tears to my eyes !

  • Greatest guitarist in this world and forever !! ( And what a showman on this !! amazing rory :D )

  • Gotta love the guy...great guitarist sadly missed.

  • nicely done

  • This is a great version of this song- from the Hammersmith concert concert 1977-there is nothing about these ones I don't like--there is nothing Rory does that I don't like !

  • One of the best,Rory I love you!

  • This is gorgeous! I'd love to hear a Jack White cover of this: maybe a tribute from him to Rory?

  • i hate it that he's dead, but at least died as a real irish man, he died drinking!

  • in reply to a comment you made over a year ago, about rory gallagher you said shame hes dead ,oh hes never dead his music lives on and every year we have a big bash in ballyshannon to celebrate that very fact, after all my friend legends never die ,rorys sprit lives on in the music, right now hes in heavens bar with philo ,gary moore, and i bet ronnie drew sharing a word are two about the good old days

  • Anyone wanting to see the rst of the hammersmith concert--it's in 9 parts on u-tube you can watch them all.

  • Rory will be forever young, we miss you.

  • I will never,never forget him!

  • Saw Rory once in Chicago, he was the best. He never sold out and was true to the music until the day he left us.

  • This was the first concert I was ever at - the National Stadium at the ripe old age of 12 years old, front row - what an induction to Rory!!!!

  • I love this tarck; what a great man; wish I could have met him just once. Gone but not forgotten

  • A true fucking king of stringed instruments. Saw him in late 70 sumthin but I can't remember the actual occasion. I was totally pissed at the time. What a shame he's gone, I'd love to hear/see him again!

  • my friends and i saw him few times in france .. anytime he was playing this song we went crazy ,,. it was like a party song !! lol

  • I'm so glad I'm taking up the mandolin!

  • @anrkeyproductions i want to! i just cant find a decent priced, decent made mandolin :(

  • What a great tune this is, y'all! Stellar Rory!!! Thank you for this post.

  • Weened on the Live in Europe '72 version; I didn't think even Rory could top it. Had a little trouble with Lou Martin in there at first; but this has been my favorite for years now. (His solo version for Irish TV's a killer too). Been playing guitar since '72, but got my first mando 2 days ago. Realized it's the bottom 4 strings on guitar backward yesterday, so I'm ready to go. 1st "must learn" tune? Mandolin Wind? Maggie Mae? Battle of Evermore? Nuh uh. "Mama's in the kitchen..." 8oO whoo!

  • Awesome....!

    RIP Rory..

    One of my favorite version...

Thank You my friend for post..

  • I've never seen a bad Rory Gallagher video on you tube. I just wish I'd started listening to his music twenty years ago.

  • @johnnyc2712 , you really missed something.

  • @johnnyc2712

    never 2 late

  • @johnnyc2712

YOU FOUND HIM NOW...THATS THE MAIN THING....ENJOY

  • fantastique !

  • Eric Clapton is unbelievably over-rated.

  • Didn't Eric Clapton was in this video! Why don't you just write about Rory Gallagher.

  • sorry I say it again & again but Rory Gallagher & Steve marriott were the 2 best ROCKBLUES musicians EVER to me. Noone had the grace, humility charm & absoulutely cray natural talent they had. My God this man just shined!!! So sad he's gone. My ideal other world ROCK band is Ronnie Lane, Steve Marriott, Rory Gallagher, Greg Ridley,Nicky Hopkins & Keith Moon! Nothing could touch that lineup to me I'll letcha all have Hendrix & Clapton etc..it's Rory & Marriott for me! I miss real music sigh ...

  • i get so excited watching this video, rory never fails to rock my socks! that hair, my god i want to play in it!

and when he says the day i left, i had shoes apon my feet, he sticks his leg out, lol, ledgend!

  • Beyond good.

  • Ah, Rory. We all miss you so much. And you look so beautiful. Do I wanna go? Oh yes.

  • Still enjoy this song even decades later after I first heard it. Once was tapping an empty Guinness bottle to the rhythm of the song and the bottle got all broke up over it! Bless ya up in heaven Rory!
