dont' give up, it took me 3 years to get as good as i was and then i stopped playing for 4 and forgot how to play.  Hope you have an arcade nearby with a machine. It sucks living in Austin, the only arcade with a machine not set at an absurd price is in the 3rd crapiest part of town and i refuse to go there with $50 worth of quarters in my pocket.

I was using Windows XP when I was playing this and I'm pretty much sure you can use Stepmania in Linux also...Just google it and find the site. I think it's in htere already. :3

I don't use my thumbs, I used 2 of my index and middle fingers. 2 on the up and Right arrows and 2 on A, for left, and S, for down arrows. xD

500SquareFeet - not everyone liked bumping the speed up, especially into the C's.

I personally bump the speed to 1.5x or 2x in almost every song, but I never touch the C speeds as I think they ruin the original design of the song (the timeshift).

It's all about preference. Your comment was just plain ignorant regarding that fact.
