And i really dont see how an STi gets 23MPG on the highway when I get 25MPG on the highway in my WRX with a TD05-20G turbo upgrade, much bigger than the STi's turbo. and im running a very rich tune. With an economy tune that limits boost to around 10PSI max and leans the fuel, i should see around 28MPG on the highway, and with the flip of a switch, be back to 350WHP.
I have read the average is 23 on high way. If you get more, then rats off to ya. Perhaps, they are talking about stock, it is 23MPG. If the STI gets good milage, I might get it, but still the price tag is late $30K to $40K, if I want stuff.
Camaro 2LT fully loaded is less than $30K nearly, perhaps a tad more. I read the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is impressive. Less than 30K, roughly 26K and you got it all.
the V8 genesis has 375BHP and can compete with the STi but is $38K and weighs in at 4000lbs, about 700lbs more than the STi. And I agree, the Camaro is and always has been an AWESOME bang for the buck car. The 422BHP 2SS is only $33K which is very good compared to its closest competetors, the Challenger SRT8 which is a whopping $40K and the 540HP Shelby GT500 coming in at $46K!! But ofcourse the STi was designed as a track car, whereas the Camaro is a touring car, so you get different things.
The STi is designed to slide sideways on gravel or dirt. The SS was built to go fast and handle great on paved surface with a .88G skidpad and 67mph slalom. Im really more interested in seeing what a stock 09 WRX can do against the V6 camaro, seeing as C/D tested the 09 WRX against the STi and it outperformed it in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. And coming in at $25K is much more affordable than the STi.
100hp more but its an american car, domestic. if you notice on imports car they always have less hp from domestics and they still beat them. hp is not everything. domestics are lighter cars, they got hp and tq on the same average.

Funny, I also owned an 04 GTO for 4 years, no problems whatsoever. The reason the seat pulled apart behind the headrests is because the owners didn't condition the leather and it dried out which pulled them apart. You have to take care of any leather in any car. If you take care of your shit, it will return the favor.

I love camaros, but ive seen that STI before and it would smoke that SS if they were racing. Maybe thats why the SS wouldnt race cause he already knew hed lose. The STI with stage 2 doesnt need NOS son, its fast enough.

Ya if we were racin, that woulda been in the title, but we were cruisin, and my stage 2 STi would stomp a stock ss, I smoke srt8 challengers all day

man that camaro wasnt even try'n to race you if open up you'd been stomped. the only thing to save your little jap car would be nos. put the after market into it the camaro man please dont try this on the road again.
