my brother hauled cows for a while. He made really good money doing it but if a cow died in transport he had to pay for it and some of them cows cost 2000 plus US dollars and they are almost always running over weight so he was getting popped all the time for being overweight and the cows don't get fed so you have to haul ass or you risk having a cow die so he was getting speeding tickets as well.

we were at a truck stop yesterday and there was one spot left and it was next to a cow hauler and in the middle of the night the cows wouldn't shut up so he got up and went outside and threw a small rock at the trailer, and then he decided to turn his reefer on even though there was no load and we had plenty of reefer fuel so he turned it on and we never heard from the cows again. When we woke up the cows disappeared.
