Here is what you do, first check the center of gravity is at ¼ chord, make some flaps and deflect them up so you can get the car up to full speed then remotely drop the flaps slightly down and see what happens.

You barely get enough speed for takeoff and immediately stall, with the flaps you adjust the stall speed, therefore when you drop the flaps at full speed you should be going much faster than take of speed and do a lot of damage.

stabalise the wing witha horizontal stab about 20% of the wing area and with a tail boom of about 2wice of lengthof MAC of the wing or avg chord and a verticale stab half of the H stab with 2 micro servos... it'll glide a few feet dont forget ot set the cg right!!! :D 28% of the wings MAC gud luck

just a horizontal stab will make it catch some air and prob glide for a couple of seconds... if u're good enough and it flyes. put a vertical stabilizer on it.. modify ur front wheels to make a flap on it and u have a glider car... just an idea ive never tryed it but im 85 % itll work

I should just quickly add to the below comment that another way to get a glide is to approach flying speed and then turn. The dehidral will get you into a bank. but you need to be much more nose heavy.

Get the balance right and you will be surprised how well that care will glide.

If you get the balance point it is possible to get some glide w/o a rear wing. My experience w/ rc cars is you need to put the wing farther back than you would initially think. Balance it 1/3 back from the front of the wing LE for a start.

you also need a ramp because as the car approaches flying speed, it looses traction until the forces balance. A ramp will result in a glide, rather than just skidding around.

Yes you are right. It's good to balance it by the wings, but also have it a little front heavy. THis will help it fly level at high speeds, but then again it will need a ramp of some sort to get air. Unless, there is a rear wing that adds lift. No, that still won't help. Fun stuff though.

It will not flip without a rear wing if it is balanced. It will be prone to pitching, but a wing can glide in a straight path just fine.

The reason it flips up is because the center of lift is far in front of the balance point. ie "tail heavy"

Just balance it one and try.

Who goes out and measures? None of you are giving accurate measurements. I have a Mayhem with a 9 port Novarossi .21 with slide carb. I'm pretty sure it could jump pretty far, but I race it, I don't go out and try to break it. Of course, I'm an adult. Check out the "RC Car jumps house" video. He has (it looks like) a Kyosho Inferno. That's pretty cool
