  • Love it, more please!!

  • I LOVED the twitchy tail as he was clinging to the lady's hat at the end!

  • I wonder how they did the twitchy tail thing at the end.

  • This is why the Muppets are still loved to this very day.

  • @654zns Because they still are and it all because of Jim Henson.

  • Ha - I've not seen this in many years. This was when I was performing Uncle Matt in the U.K. I believe we shot this at the Oval in London back in the mid 1980's. The idea was based upon the Ascot races and the flamboyant hats they would wear. That was the famous Gertrude Shilling featured wearing Uncle Matt as a hat! Dave Goelz, the original principle Matt performer added the voice over in post production for continuity. Fun times and happy memories :)

  • @mikequinn - Before I even read your comment I thought of the wild hats worn at royal affairs and at Ascot! What a great experience it must have been to work on a show such as Fraggle Rock. I have been a fan since I was 4 years old (in 1982) - in the US, Fraggle Rock was only shown on HBO, which was then a premium cable channel. My parents were willing to pay the extra $10 per month simply for the Fraggles - the creativity and humor was and is ingenius!

  • Wait a minite Mikequinn are trying to tell us that you're a puppetteer and you performed Uncle Traveing Matt?

  • @mikequinn Nice to see some behind the scenes insight. These postcards always got a huge laugh out of me and they often made my day.
