I've only known one person that could tat.I think sadly that is an art that might be going except for the diehards..I Crochet ,quilt,I was seriously hooked on cross stitch for about 10 years lol. Embroider and sewing,NO fitted garments,life's too short. : )
I think the art is making a comeback. There are quite a few quilting classes around here and they are always booked. Lots of mother/daughter sewing meets, etc. I think it's great.
I'd like to learn how to tat. I don't know anyone who does that.
I didn't make this one,i got it off the internets. ; ) ..but I've made hundreds,no joking,full sized quilts for my grand daughters,and i make crib size for expecting moms..and i make doll sized for little wanna be moms. lol..quilting is a big passion of mine..
I remember when I was younger loads of people over here were into making there own stuff, as the years have past by the art has died out, its a shame really that nearly everything is shop bought.:(
