FS9 is so much better, because the effects are more realistic. FS9 is more framerate friendly anyways.

OMG. Watching the way the plane pitched and rolled from the view point reminds me EXACTLY the way American Airlines Flight 191 (a DC-10) went down in 79' at Chicago Ohara on takeoff.

Flight 191's, crash was attributed to a crack in the engine mount on the left side due to improper maintenance procedures. On takeoff the ENTIRE left engine detached from the mount, rolled over the wing, damaged the wings aerodynamics severely.

The only diff in the crash and your video is the direction of roll.

the effects are all in the fsx default effects folder, he just put them into a smoke system, then held "i" or whatever his smoke system keys was.

There is a tool that lets you create it on your own. Why would the SDK tool do it for you?

Just read the docs. I did and I learnt alot from it. So you just do the same. I can't teach over youtube and I don't want to!

I am going to use a sound set from an actual F/A-18 Hornet for realism and there will be a Virtual and 2D cockpit included, the 3D cockpit will take visual damage but the 2D cockpit is not yet planed to take any damage at all. There will be effects like cracking glass, shattering guages (if they are crushed) etc. This is a big team effort to get this finished within about 5 months due to all the hi-tech visual effects that have to be taken into account.

Thats true, I am now working on an F/A-18 Hornet that when it is overstressed, it takes visual dammage. It will be avaliable on my website (found on my profile). The Hornet will be free.
