Oh, and even though I personally think Jay-Z is doper than Payroll lyrically, my below comment when I said "he's no Jay-Z" was referring to the fact he's not and will never be at Jay-Z status and wasn't even close back then, just in case a bunch of y'all wanted to chime in and be like "This nigga Payroll was better than Jay". I'm talking from a business standpoint and that's what it's about. Business moves. This Payroll cat looks like a nameless lame dissing 'Ye now. GET OVER IT.
GET REAL. Everybody's gotta eat. Let's get real. Payroll is nice, no doubt, but he's no Jay-Z, and that's just the honest truth. It's not even me trying to sound bogus. It was JAY-Z. The decision was OBVIOUS.
I agree it was slightly bogus, but all of y'all get real. Payroll just sounds like a MAD, bitter rapper, and its' not a good look for his manhood. Plus, all that street lingo doesn't matter, cuz Kanye was never a street dude. He's a business man and made a business move. Anyone who doesn't understand that makes me sick. It was the hottest rapper in the game JAY-Z. You woulda did the SAME and I won't EVER believe you if you say you wouldn't have.
yah, this beef came up, when Kanye gave a beat the Payroll killed called Never Change and gave it to Jay z, as soon as he signed wit the Roc, he turned his back on the Chi cats he was working with. Sad shit man, this track is old tho. If you like Payroll's flow, pick up his album, "Broke, Starvin', and Gangbangin'"
Yo, check this out , I had this song like back In 2002, It's was on a mix tape...I got It from these dudes In Nap town at the Circle City Classic that year...They was passing out cd's and they said we "Cap-one's" crew and had this song on It... They was from Chi,and Cap-One was on the cd, It was tight...I'm sure I wont be able to find that cd again...
