  • the group of roaches at 5:00 has one injured roach

  • another reason(s) why they need a nerf, besides mass marines.

  • I like how TLO got a queen into Torch's main through the nydus worm and laid down creep tumors on the nydus's creep. Nice way to see if the ground is clear to do another drop or nydus. Even if Torch wantsto get rid of it he can't place a turret to reveal the tumor because of the creep so he'll have to waste a scan or tech to and reveal a raven. This is something I'm going to have to try.

  • I've always found Diggity to be a little fidgety

  • Marauders are overpowered.

  • i cant stand your fast talking voice

  • FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one time my friend did went all in roach, broke down my wall and got in my base.

but i was able to hold off 15+ roach with 5 marauder using pure micro, and force retreat

  • marauders are overpowered

  • @b09h especially vs gateway units!!

  • Yeah the medivac is clearly no brood war medic.

  • this is gr8. thank you. an excellent aux subscription to the HDH vidz

  • the numbers do work out diggity you just arent taking in to effect a cascading effect with damage so after one is dead it lets more of them target the next ect. So first shot can make a large difference in it. The unit does the full damage until it is dead and so a roach with 1 health left will still contribute greatly to the army if not attacked

  • i dont like sc2. All units have their damage and hp increase madly, even the freaking marine. I call it "damage inflation". Sc2 will never be half as good as sc1

  • @IIrond tank has about the same hp and less damage. not that that matters. the point is, there are many factors that lead to the changes of statistics. also, you aren't factoring in all the damage types and armor types, as with warcraft 3. so though the marine's base damage might be high, it won't be effective against certain types of armor. so in at least one way, the marine COULD very well be precisely equal to the sc1 marine.

  • @IIrond

Those without Down's syndrome will like SCII much better.

  • one downside to medivacs as opposed to medics is that they can't heal the same unit at the same time. no more "one marine three medics win over a handful of cracklings" type of play

  • @avinotion Units in Broodwar (or vanilla for that matter...) can't be healed by multiple medics at the same time, you should play the game sometime, wow.....

  • @smeeesh1

i'm not sure about that, but as i remember they did it a lot faster. pff

  • @avinotion they cant heal each other as well

  • @avinotion only one medic to one unit could be healed in the original Starcraft.

  • @avinotion Also the "FLYING HEALING BUS" doesn't have a sexy voice :O

  • @Berkoz666

how i've pondered on it. the lack of sexy voices in SC2.

but you do have medics in the campaign!

  • @ho33es

if someone wants to pay for starcraft training then someone wants to pay for starcraft training

I know many many people who take extracurricular piano/math classes to essentially learn material covered in class a few weeks later

I get that you think that it's not worth it but I don't see the point of telling someone to not spend money on something they feel like spending money on. You might as well tell rich businessmen to not get huge mansions and ferraris

  • very basic stuff, I would have said unnecessary if it wasn't for so many people who can't seem to grasp even the most obvious of things... so unfortunately I guess such videos are actually needed for too many people :S

  • Were you playing against Day[9]?

  • Good analysis. I've learned the hard way that even a ling/roach combo in the early game can't really contend with a good marine/marauder mix. Hydras on the other hand do fairly well. Also, lately I've been going up against archons and boy can they take a beating--especially from roaches.

  • I remember when they thought Roaches were meat shields that didn't do much damage.... XD

  • @ho33es

are you saying that it would be inappropriate to charge people to teach them how to play soccer or basketball or football?

Video games are games. But sports are also games. Games are worthwhile for these people, so who are you to say that they can't pay for coaching?

  • @ho33es First of all, this practice has been in the U.S. since the halo 2 days. Some people don't feel like playing 20,000 matches to get good, they just want the tips from the masters to get skills quickly. Same process as virtually any other skill that can be mastered. Of course there are people like me that like doing everything themselves. I master something my own way, slowly, over time. Most people don't have the time for that, though. And that is their choice.

  • @ho33es

It's appropriate to charge people for anything considering they don't have to purchase your product and/or service. Thats capitalism, so deal with it pinko.

  • i should respond with more detail, but i'm in a hurry right now. I just wanted to mention: its a video game. You guys don't seem to grasp that. You play it for fun, and it shouldn't be taken as seriously. I love sc and sc2 and i'm telling you that taking this game too serious is not good for many things in life. On top of that, i checked the names of the guys teaching a while back. They're all like c players and below. It's like a high school graduate teaching middle school...not for me, thanks.

  • @ho33es i was talking about capitalism. i do take it seriously and it isn't a video game. i don't think this service is worth buying either, but i'm not going to condemn anyone who wants to buy it or sell it. why? because i'm not a communist.

  • @ho33es selling stuff people want to buy, FOR SHAME! not saying its the best place to buy from but...

  • What your saying is basic common sense.

  • @XenverX which a lot, A LOT, of people lack

  • The proportionality constant relating the number of roaches and mauraders is actually present but it isn't linear so it doesn't scale constantly :p

  • great case study!

  • how do i play sc2?

  • blah, i can wait until the summer :)

  • just got my beta key

    cant wait

  • nice!

  • @smeeesh1 It's a support unit, not a defense unit.

  • @Patchumz (*sigh*), Medivacs can be found at:

Units / flying / support / defensive, check Blizzard's official review of the unit before you embarrass yourself....(*facepalm*)

  • long time no vid!!

  • You can actually count them on the field, if you hotkey them it shows you the number of a unit you have. Nice video Diggity!

  • it takes a while for it to become HD,

ps. that site looks super out-of-the-box

hope esports gets more popular in US and europe

  • @facelessone86 Didn't really need to be high quality, it was simply a video demonstrating some Roach v. Marauder mechanics.

  • Thanks. I would like to see several comparisons like this.

  • wooo!! go diggity!

  • Marauders are cool
