  • I agree with nthavasi. Nobody has the right to wave their finger in our face with a "be careful" threat. Such a mentality is what leads to a totalitarian state of affairs. What is the meaning of "thanks for understanding?" Understanding what? That some people are beyond criticism? Seniority, celebrity, etc is one thing, fallibility is another. Nobody is infallible. I too find the violin overbearing. That is not to say the violinist is not talented. Do these things even need to be explained?

  • A lovely melody ruined by the annoying violin:(

  • Please be careful while commenting on senor artists like Kandadevi Alagiriswamy

  • Surely, I don't mean any disrespect here...

  • Thanks for understanding

  • Surely, people are entitled to their opinions. The seniority of an artiste does not immediately preclude them from sounding annoying to some. Personally, I find the violinist here alright but there are times when someone as accomplished as Lalgudi or TNK interferes with the singing.

It is so bizarre that you expect everyone to share your devotion of an artiste - an annoying imposition.

  • I think it is a technology/conversion issue

If you also noticed, the audio lags behind video...It may be that the audio dial was'nt optimally, only to be further aggravated by conversion to u-tube...

Just sit back and think about what you are being served up via internet, from the 80s

  • awesomeeee thanks for sharing

  • Can any one please tell me what happened to this GREAT duo..? For long time, I have heard no word about them.

  • They 'semi-retired' from the main picture, and started teaching. They trained the now famous Priya Sisters

  • My twin aunties were named after them.

  • @carnatican How one wish they also EARNED a name in Carnatic music due to the inspiration and admiration of their parents for R-J sisters' music. It required channelsiing of the young ones' inborn tastes by holding them from inferior pursuits and filling their time (beyond secular education from schools) with cultural and spiritual elevation through learning of fine arts.

  • The violine is unusually loud.....normally, radha jayalakshmi kutcheri have their vocal very greatly coming out.....

Please upload samanam yavaru, rama nee.....karaharapriya....a stamp of radha jayalakshmi uniqueness
