I've started a petition to release every season of this show on DVD. You can find the url on my channel page, since I can't post it here. Just trying to get the word out!
IF Ryan didn't fully start learning how to play guitar in the last seasons Then He's doing a hell of job acting like he's actually playing guitar See "Wild Wild Life" and "Living on a Prayer"
The only cover that I didn't like more than the original was Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" let's face it though, no one can top Bon Jovi. but every other cover he does is so much better! My fav is "Say You Will."
The Melodica makes this song. I love how cheesy kids covers--no matter what era--are always over-synthesized, I wonder if anyone ever bothered to notice there was no amp cord coming from Ryan's guitar?
Even if there was no amp cord I still have to wonder if Ryan actually played like in a pre-recording or something. I mean he does play in real life with his band. Sometime I think they lip sync and other times I'm convinced that they don't. There are several vids out there where they are off timing with each other if its a duet, and that's not likely a mistake that you would make in a pre-recording. Can you shed some light Aris? You seem to know a lot about them.
Actually I believe Ryan was learning how to play in the last season, and he may have had some knowledge, but I think it has been said before that none of the kids except maybe Mario who played the drums actually knew how to play the instruments.
@afterthesirens LOL, he always had the "advanced technology" wireless system...there's a few episodes where he and the rest of the kids come out from the side of the stage and he's playing before he gets to the stage. (It's the only way he could get to the center podium with the guitar, too.)
But you're still right...the guitar isn't even plugged into a wireless box. LOL.
OMG I had to laugh when I saw this, but that "horrible harmonica" comment is proof that there are people out there that don't havea clue! No matter - this is classic 80's and I haven't laughed this hard in weeks! Thanks!
Definitely one of Kids Incorporated's best performances of 1986. I believe the song sounds better here than the original, especially by substituting the horrible harmonica part for a guitar. :-)

Ryan owned this song. I'd love for Ryan to jump on stage at a Hooters concert (yes they still tour) and outstage Dan Bazilian. :)

That's what makes it great :-) haha. We notice it now but when we're 8 we gawk at the tv in jealousy that we wish we were them...:)

i'll be damned, i listen to these again and a lot of the kid's covers are better than the original s#$T!!! did they have an album? ever?

It sounds like ABBA singing harmony. This show was so bad, but it was made for kids and TV wasn't so sophisticated as it is now.
