I am not ragging on her, but I think she was overrated. Lots of people can shoot skeet/glass balls with a double barreled shotgun. Also when you look at the you tube video "1894 Annie Oakley" The actual Edison film shows her missing all the coin tosses except one. Just calling it like I see it.

Annie Oakley is the base of the song smooth criminal by Michael Jackson on his album bad even though not released in the album Annie Oakley is the reason he says Annie are you okay? The original video was ment to be western in dedication of Annie but michael changed the theme to a 50's Nightclub theme if possible they made the western version it would make more sense

If you don't count her contributions to American entertainment and the arts, she also did lots of work on the women's front. She was an early advocate for women's rights, as well as teach active self defense. After her death, people realized her fortune had become nonexistent due to the fact that she had used it all up on charity.
