  • My biggest prob is thinking too hard about it before I get started, and then gathering the right materials...and then the steps to follow. I'm gonna have to make a step by step sheet and go from there. Nice theme though!

  • absolutely amazing, really inspired me to do something cool for my bearded dragon.

  • After spending ages trying to find a place that makes half decent false rock I finally find one. I tried making one but it was crap. This place is called aquamanic.co.uk. They have some pretty good stuff in there and you don't have to make it :D

  • wow. amazing.

  • i use this as landscape in warhammer !!! YAAAY!!!

  • @Amazing paint job on this! This would definitely be great for baby beardies! Many 40 of them could go in here. And maybe 2 or 3 adults could go in there. What lizard did you put in there?

  • Thats amazin m8, my bearded dragon viv is 5x2x2 so definately going to try this

  • can i use concrete and morter to cover my model and then seal it will it still be safe?

  • your lizards will never ever be bored

  • this is a really important question what happens if the lizard goes to the bathroom on the sculptor thanks please answer me becouse i really want to make a sculpter like yours

  • @dragonscuz The clean up can be a pain. My lizard uses the restroom while taking a bath around 90% of the time.

  • @AcArtGallery thanks man but will the piss and crap destroy the structer or does the scelent stop the urine from entering it????

  • @dragonscuz the sealant stops everything from entering into the fake rock. I would reseal everything at least once every three years.

  • @LizardLandscapes Thanks! That really helps!

  • @LizardLandscapes How do you make it fit after you put the tile grout on? Do you have to cut out the polystyrene smaller than what the tank size is to accommodate for the grout? If so, how much smaller does the polystyrene need to be?

  • @carsazxs I do cut the polystyrene smaller than what the tank size is to accommodate. The amount to cut depends on how much grout you're going to add. 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch should do. It's always better to have it a little bit too small, then you can add to it to reach the perfect size.

  • what size tank is this and can u do this with a 40 gallon?

  • do you know if this is safe for an aquarium?

  • @JewfroBoy200 if you cover it in aquarium grade silicone sealant

  • how does the grout hold up the lisard cuz i wanted to make one but save as mutch mony as i can i have a leapord gecko with only get to be a pound or less full weight so could i skip the grouting prosess

  • would build me something like this for my leopard gecko and how much would u charge because i want him to feel at home and ur work is amazing

  • omg that is INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you so much for posting your project vids.

They're by far the best I've seen. They are also a great inspiration for me. So far I've done a food and water dish base, and also a basking spot with steps. Lame compared to your stuff, but it came out ok for a 1st try. btw you kind of remind me of Bob Ross (the joy of painting). Very calming and encouraging.

    Thanks again!

  • where do you get the styrofoam plz answer back must know

  • Don't like how you painted it, but LOVE how you shaped the foam!

  • wouldn't crickets bite into the Styrofoam? would you have to feed the reptile in a separate container? what about cleaning.. you can't get it wet so water if water gets on it from the water bowl. how would you disinfect it or clean feces off of it? what about heat for basking? would the heat create fumes and melt it at all which could possibly poison your reptile? please get back to me soon.

  • @fox020708 crickets can't bite into the Styrofoam because the entire thing is covered in three layers of grout, -and then covered in four layers of nontoxic sealant. I do feed my dragon in a separate cage only because crickets are expert hiders. For my bearded dragon I've never supplied a water bowl, but we could debate on that for a while. If you're wanting to supply a water bowl you can use a nontoxic acrylic sealant which is very water resistant. The heat is not an issue -covered in grout

  • Do you do commissions?

  • Can this be made waterproof, to make a water bowl?

  • Hi mate, firstly this is absolutly amazing!!! Secondly how well does the grouting work? I have a 3foot viv with a back frop on the back and my beardy has clawed a hole right through. I,m making a new viv from scratch and have read about grouting it.

  • can you make these without the grouting process?

  • @NINPHMTDS yes, but it wouldn't hold up to a lizard.

  • whats the sealint? white wood glue ?

  • @kylechetcuti Mod Podge.

  • @LizardLandscapes what is "mod podge" i`m from europe, i dont know that therm. can you link me ?

  • @tase4u it's a glue/sealent, check Amazon

  • @tase4u you can buy it on line at dickblick dot

com its an online art store

  • @tase4u same question here xD

  • ive watched nearly all of your videos and i am now regretting not watching them for when i had my bearded dragon...

  • out of all your lizard landscapes which ones would work with a bearded dragon?

  • Wht kind of paint do you use?

  • thanks for the help my beardie es itlov

  • is it ok if you put this in water??

  • @NikeSBz1 no, check out my waterfall videos for projects that are dealing with water.

  • Can i use thin cement instead of grout?

  • @snabsAglass yes.

  • yo u r a bad ass dude for making this bro im trying to make something for my bearded dragons and i hope it turns out as nice as that damn bro good shit

  • This is phenomenal! You are amazing at doing this!

  • is it not hard to get the poop/pee off?

  • @stallings1225 it can be.

  • how could u clean it

  • @geckosforlife I use a mixture of half white vinegar and half water.

  • Can you use cock instead of liquid nails.

  • How long does it take for the grout to dry (one coat)?

  • @SombreroBanana it depends on the thickness, 3 to 6 hours.

  • When you say you use grout do you mean cement? Or is there some specific grout I must buy?

  • @MrTommivercetti I use Polyblend grout, but you could use cement.

  • Hey man! I luv all of ur videos! They are awesome!! But one question...... Why do you non sanded grout??? Cause I always use sanded grout and works fine.

  • @MrReptilesrock It's just easier to thin.

  • hey is it ok to paint them with paints from moddel kits ive had in the past

  • your are so gifted dude

  • can you get shields all at any major stores or any type of local suppliers?

  • @lucky13nnn no, as far as I know just the Internet.

  • Does the mod podge seal enough for an aquarium background? and where do you buy it from?

  • @lucky13nnn no, you need to use aquarium grade silicone sealant.

  • Nice writeup. Gave me some ideas. I need to build a couple formations for a paludarium. Would these rocks be safe immersed in water(to the fish)? If not, any recommendations to make them non-toxic? Thanks!

  • @EvolvedRS Check out my waterfall setup for ideas.

  • @LizardLandscapes can the lizards sit safely on it like a beardie

  • @mudpiemm yes.

  • where do you get your styrofoam

  • @KETIMENE Home Depot

  • You sure love your lizard

  • jeeze. how long did it take??

  • where exactly do u get the colored grout, and how much $? also, how do you get grout to color if you cant get colored grout?

  • This landscape is awesome!

  • do u youse normal tileing grout??

  • @dazeel yes, non sanded

  • Very cool in deed!

  • whats the sealent called?

  • @damnationofsociety it's called Mod Podge all surface sealent (yellow and white bottle)

  • @LizardLandscapes sweet, thanks much

  • Is this the sort of grout that is used for applying tiles to a wall, the DIY store kind of stuff?

  • @antsimkins It's tile grout.

  • @LizardLandscapes Ok thanks, I think I might create something for my future Beardy. I got the styrofoam, and the inspiration from your vids, all I need is grout.

  • would this work for a snake ?

  • dude that is so hot looks pretty cool

  • How much would all of this cost to make?

  • @AussieBrock around 90 dollars

  • @LizardLandscapes Awesome. For a 60cm x 40cm x 43cm i'd pay you $250 for a replica of this. But I do watch your videos and know you don't make them for people. I make have a go at it.

  • Must be some of the best work I've ever seen! Must have taken weeks to complete.

  • Im gonna make this rock wall for my leopard gecko. I was wondering what are the demesions and how big was the tank you use. Amazing!!!!!!!

  • You should make like a more basicly detailed tutorial...for me I think the hardest part will be cutting the foam into a shape that will hold and everything...I want to make a custom tank for a new dragon ima buy in the future...

  • thats amazing

  • Wow! That is awesome!

  • um probably leopard gecko, beardie... one of those... making one for each

  • your very artistic, you should make a business for this kind of thing

  • wow what the hell..this doesent even look like it takes u time and yet they are astonashing...just simply amazing..do you sell these things.....i would make u rich hahaha just kiding but i would buy so many of them because my bearded dragons and my iguana are all growing and need something new

  • i was wondering how would an under tank heater work after all of this was put in. would it go through the grout, is it a hazard, will it work as well... please answer as soon as you can

  • It should work, you might put a couple extra layers of grout on it. I would test it out first for a week or two. I assume you're wanting this under tank heater for a snake?

  • hey, i am thinking about making this typ if procedure for a background for my leopard geckos, but i have noticed that were i live grout is EXTREMELY expensive and was windering if i could use concrete or cement instead, it is alot cheaper...

  • Cement will work.

  • @LizardLandscapes haha thank you ^.^

  • I have just been surfing for ideas for my tank, and your design is breathtaking. It really gets the juices flowing for creativity. Thank you for making the You Tube video.

It has helped me understand the processes needed.

  • Yer Lizards are lvinq the life.

  • Wow thats a privlaged lizard

  • yea i have been watching lots of your videos and i am wondering if we can buy the things you make

  • They're just too time-consuming for what someone is willing to pay.

  • Could you send me one for a 10 gal. tank.

  • do you sell these things? you should!

  • What size tank is this?

  • 110 gallon

  • Thanks, won't be doing this one.

  • that's amazing great job

i wish it was possible to make fish aquarium decorations like this it would be a lot cheaper and look a lot better then store bought

  • this is so cool and i'll try to make one!!!!!

  • that is amazing

  • grout IS: "sand", cement and water... are you saying you just used cement and water mix? or is there something that's called sandless grout? and if it's just water and cement, what's the ratio

  • You could just use clay (no foam),fire it in a kiln, then glaze it then fire it again. You wont need a sealer if you do this. The catch? It's way heavier...

  • As long as you cover it in grout and then seal it well.

  • My bearded Dragon doesn't seem to mind.

  • this is so awesome I'm gonna make a small one for my water dragon ! thanks

  • Thanks. Just be sure and research a waterproof sealant, this project is really just intended for dry environment lizards. I am almost finished with a waterfall project that would be a lot more ideal for a water Dragon. It should be on my website within three weeks, check it out.

  • could you make a video of making something for snakes

  • The fake rock tree would work for a small snake

  • wow. thats amazing :)

  • can i use mod podge on wood 4 my lizard cage

  • I'm not sure, the bottle probably indicates which surfaces are appropriate

  • what kind of mod podge do you use

  • the matte (yellow bottle) kind.

  • where do you get your styrofoam

  • home depot

  • it is good job

    thx

  • is the grout toxic? and what kind are you using?

  • I use Polyblend. You definitely want to seal it with a non-toxic sealant.

  • hows the waterfall coming?? i really want to see that.

  • The waterfall project is coming along nicely, although very complicated and time-consuming.

  • how much does the styrfoam cost?

  • Around six dollars for a packet of six sheets.

  • about how much would this cost to make? and i have a bearded dragon in a 40 gallon tank so how much would it cost to make in a 40 gallon tank? thanks (: alyssa & draco!

  • Just the supplies for this project cost around $90. But this is a 110 gallon tank. So you could probably do it for around 50 bucks.

  • Do you think the sealant would eventually come off after a while of running water over it on a waterfall style tank piece ? I wouldn't want to make my water toxic....

  • I'm currently working on a waterfall project. What I plan on doing is covering the areas that the water will be on 24/7 with aquarium grade silicone. The rest of the areas not coated with water constantly will be covered in many layers of non-toxic acrylic sealant.

  • does anyone think that a technique like this would work for a heavy snake like a retic?

    or is it too brittle

  • You would have to put a ton of grout on it

  • WOW!!!

    that is INCREDIBLE!!

how much would i need to pay you to make me one of these lmao!!

imma gonna watch some of your other vids aswell for some ideas and how to get the styrofoam to fit in like that etc etc...

do you mind if i subscribe coz i think i could use your ideas alot if thats ok?

coz ive got a fat tailed gecko and 2 bearded Dragons that would LOVE something like this!!

thank you so much for your input into youtube!!!

always good to see people like you at work!!

  • thats amazing

  • I would put a few Leopard Geckos in it but nothing really any bigger.

  • What would also be really cool is to put a water fall in one. That would be reallly amazing.

  • You could have a job making and selling these. Wow that is very amazing. I've been looking for something like this for a while. Thanks!

  • my BD was dieing to jump on my keyboard and when he was on he just sat there watching the screen :L

how long do it take to make piece??

  • Too long. Off and on probably six months.

  • if i paper masaed sothing is it safe for my lizard

  • Do you mean using Papier-mâché? If so I've never tried that. As long as it turns out durable, and you're able to seal it with a non-toxic sealant it might work.

  • Very interesting

  • does this work for pogona vitticeps?

  • I have one living in this structure right now

  • to build i mean

  • How much does something like this cost?

  • Someone would have to have a disposable income

  • whats the floor made of ??

  • Polystyrene covered with grout

  • 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/5

  • very nice

  • Wow! Awesome!

  • 5/5 stars

  • yea nice making of

  • amazing!

  • sorry about my spelling

  • mate your an artist you should upload potos 2 and art gallery or sumit

  • VERY NICE!

  • If I made this out of clay, would i have to harden the clay?? How would i go about making it like that?

  • With clay you would need to fire it like in a kiln. If you were then to fire it with a glaze it would be non-toxic.

  • amazing dude

  • wow, amazing!

i hope to make some hide's for my critters now!

  • could put the materials into Spanish and put it to put that thing with the white spray
