"Nolan never was one to recycle the same garment for one of the leads, unless he used a dress to outfit an extra in maybe a party scene or something!" LOL!!! In the first part of season 7, Joan Collins and Linda Evans wore once or twice per episode old dresses from old episodes!!
Dynasty may not have been the best written nighttime soap opeara, but it more than made up for it with its charasmatic characters and heavy duty fashions!
LMAO@ "[when he knocked Miss Dominique up with a milk & sugah coffee baby!]" what is wrong with you? lol but yea the writing wasnt always the best. its no secret that the costumes held higher priority than the scripts! yet no matter how silly or melodramatic the storylines got @ times she still brought it like she was doing Shakespeare! thats the test of a true diva, being able to turn shit into sugar and selling it to the cheap seats!
p.s. nobody gave good face like ms. carroll! shes FLAWLESS!
Did Dominique wear that.... 'rich lady's house robe' in a previous episode on The Colby's? The one she wears when Garret comes to visit her at her pad in LA which bears a myserious resemblance to Zach Powers' penthouse suite.
can't say for sure but i doubt it...Nolan never was one to recycle the same garment for one of the leads, unless he used a dress to outfit an extra in maybe a party scene or something!
lol@ 'rich lady's house robe'! i kno right? who just lounges around in fur trimmed robes, diamonds and pearls and high heeled slippers, with fire engine red nail polish with the lip to match, while smokin a cigarette and sippin on bubbly @ 4 in the afternoon? LOVE IT!!!!
Oh but of course...I never could forget her Oscar & Golden Globe nominated performance (she was robbed, she shoulda won) for IMO the best movie of all time..."CLAUDINE" opposite another Tony & Emmy award winner Mr. James Earl Jones! :)
lol..ur a fool! but i love it! :) i feel you tho i talk about my divas and refer to them by 1st names like we're old college buddies that go back 30 years... i'm glad its not just me! lol
but yes, "julia" was before my time, but i grew up on her not just on "dynasty" but as whitley's mother on "a different world" (loved her on that) but to take it back, in movies like "sister sister" & "i know why the caged bird sings"! after "claudine" nothin tops her as myrt in "carmen jones"! she was so cute!
Oh chil'! (or should I say, churl!) That is too true. Miss Diahann knows how to emote for the prizes...
But the kicker was how the writers dragged out the money-shot until the end..."Garret was married [when he knocked Miss Dominique up with a milk & sugah coffee baby!]!!!"!
Joan is always so good! Oh, how I miss the hey day and the good times when Dynasty ruled the ratings.

@redfanon yes the brows are not cute. the outfit is all that and a bag of the finest most expensive chips money can buy

Troy Beyer/Jackie was a bad choice. You would think Dominique's daughter would be a little more stronger and bold.

Woah! Dominiques red ensemble looks a lot like Alexis's Season 2 get up when she and Krystle have one of their "Sammie Jo tongue fights."

I hate to see Dominique hurting. Oh the pain.
In other news, Alexis packs a wallop:
"Blake! You'd better make that a cashier's check. We wouldn't want it to bounce."

We so crazy! We calling her by her 1st name like we done known her all these years!
