I'd also like to hear from the pro-HR669 side. The intended goal of this bill seems to be protecting native species from invasives, something most people are in support of.

In some states invasive species are a huge problem - billion dollar fisheries, forests & agriculture at risk.

Global shipping has done the most damage. But the pet industry is not without sin either. Shouldn't we transition to developing/keeping only domesticated breeds to end the practice of capturing wild animals?

I don't live in America or Canada but I'm pretty sure this is a bill that would never get passed. The implications are too far reaching, from economic to social to environmental. Economic - businesses will go under, loss of thousands of jobs worldwide. Social - although the powers of today want to destroy social activity so they're not interested here. Environmental - from breeding to education, exotic pets especially depend on first hand knowledge of them to exist. I guess Nazism isn't dead.
