  • I had a siamese cat, he died at the age of three of leukemia :(

  • @royYriza :( that's so sad, I'm sorry

  • I have a Siamese and his not vocal at all, very lazy, does not knock things down at all but yet is a very happy cat so nothing has been done wrong to him, don't go by what the breeder says trust me.

  • The only problem I have with siamese is this:

    THEY ARE SO FREAKING LOUD.

  • The cat in this video is a modern Siamese, but not to extremes. Original Siamese, or Thai cats, do not have the extremely large ears or angular skulls of the modern Siamese, just as original Persians don't have smashed-in faces. These traits were bred in by American and British breeders, in my opinion, to the detriment of the breed.

  • my mum had 2 siamese cat :( sadly one died before i was born, the other died when i was 9 she was 20... i cried so much, i miss herr!!

  • I love my Siamese cats!!

  • My meezer is actually very affectionate and loving; he even purrs for the vet. He hates the drive more than the vet.

  • I love Siamese. They very much want to communicate with us.

  • what kind of siamese is?? some one can tell me if he/she is a "thai" siamese or oriental siamese(modern siamese)?

  • I have two Siamese from the same litter. They are the best cats!

  • That kitty is a more slender, girly version of my little boy, Khai! He's my second meezer... can't live without one. Once you go Siamese, you're hooked forever.

  • I had a cat when i was younger who was half siamese. I just loved it when he talked to us. But he was very picky around men.

  • my kinda cat, noisy and a lap cat :) perfect :]

  • I don't really care for Siamese cats. They're gorgeous, and I'm sure this doesn't apply to every Siamese cat, but they seem... mean. At least, the ones I've encountered have been noisy and demanding.

  • Made another comment on another one of these videos but I am SURE that one of my cats was part siamese. Exactly the same shape but all black, a vocal little kitty, liked to pounce on our dogs. He just died a few weeks ago at the age of 21. I definitely would consider getting another part if not pure siamese again.

  • My cat hates people besides the ones he lives with. His name is tommy chong and he is a rare red striped tail siamese cat and i wub him. lol <3

  • animals are angles sent from earth! owwww :) awee awwee awee

  • this ladies accent is like a fucking gypsy. One second I thought she was american, then I hear some british, and then some irish. Where the hell is this lady from? lol.

  • @softlyserenademe maybe Canadian?

  • @softlyserenademe She's canadian. Some canadians have a mixed accent: a bit of scottish, irish, american, jamaican lol

  • There's nothin' like a meezer! They are the best!

  • Hello, Do you sell Siamese cats??? Please do let me know!

  • I love the Siamese cat breed!!!!! When I was growing up, my siamese cat Squawky loved everyone, but he bonded especially well with my mom. Whenever he said "meow", it sounded like "Oh, wow!' He died in 1984 at the age of 17. I have four cats, and Misty is my second oldest cat; a siamese mix. She is 12, and she reminds me so much of Squawky. Very vocal, but very affectionate, sweet, and she does what Squawky used to do, which is to bat me with her paw in the a.m., to say, "Wake up, Mom!!!"

  • Super vids. Very informative and show the cats a lot.

  • My Siamese X's voice has helped her out of some very tricky siuations over the years. She once got locked in a neighbours garage by accident and I could track her down by walking down the street and calling to her. She always answers my calls with some of her own so I just followed the sound of her voice.

  • Prince was given to me for free because his mom & dad were accidental parents (bro & sis) and he was missing an eye. Sweetest cat I ever had, would never leave my side, and slept on my neck every night. Very vocal, and very much a baby for his whole life. He always wanted to be cuddled and held. I had heard they were aggressive, but he always got dominated by the other cats until I would stop them. Maybe that was a flaw because he was inbred. I would love to have another Siamese. I miss him:)

  • I adore my Siamese and couldn't imagine having another breed of cat. She's playful, affectionate and talkative. Much like a dog she'll come when she's called and waits for me to come home at the front door. She's always at the foot of my bed keeping my toes warm.

  • Siamese are the best! Very interactive and oh, so clever!

  • Error, try again

  • My bluepoint siamese Mooshoo looks exactly like the one in this video..smart too..he fetches straws. Now if i can only train him to fetch me a beer...hmmmm

  • I love the Siamese cats, I have two, but are only 12 and both have Renal failure.

  • @darkeyes12

I am so sorry to here that, I lost my Siamese cat to Renal failure at age 10, He was the best cat one could every ask for. We have 2 other cats, but the bond with my cat was very very close, I will always miss him, doubt I will ever find a cat to be close to again. He looked like the Siamese in this video.

  • All my siameses have been very protective and loveable. They would even confort me, or anyone else who is feeling down, follow you around the house, watch you cook as if they were learning, and i have to even close the bathroom door to avoid them to getting in the shower with me. Once you have a siamese, you can never live without them. Even my mom who never liked cats has 4 now hehehe

  • @TheRachel33 Oh that is soo true! I remember my little Siamese boy used to do all those things! I used to come home from college and as soon as he saw me coming down the drive, he'd run towards me and I could hear him wowing and purring like a motorbike! I can't wait until I can afford to have one or two of my own, although I'll never ever forget my Perry.... **sniff**

  • I love the Siamese, our 20 lb Sam is our alarm clock in the morning.

  • I think I'm possibly getting a old fashioned siamese or a "Thai cat" as they are also called...I MUCH more prefer their more natural cat look to the modern ones. I really think humans in the west(Europe, USA) kind of ruined the beautiful looking, original siamese cat and made them look all weird and pointy headed. Good thing they still look normal and natural in Thailand thankfully!

  • protective ?! mine bite my exboyfriend almost to death !!!

and yeah they need compagny :D i got 2 siameses and 2 dobermans :D

NEVER LET SIAMESE OUT !! somebody gonna steal it !! XD

  • Hmm not so sure about the generalisation about Siamese getting along with other animals.

My SIamese girl HATES any competition for affection.

We tried to get another Siamese- her litter mate in fact to live with us and she would not tolerate it. She didn't give him aggro so much but she resented us very much for bringing a competitor for affection in the home.

If my brother hugs me, she hates it even though she adores my brother!

It very much depends on the individual cat IMHO.

  • This is a very helpful video. Thanks for making it available.

Some of the Siamese I see have a regular cat head, like a Disney "We are Siamese if You Please" type head. But others have a more panther or lion like head with a wide snout and big ears. Are there 2 different varieties of Siamese Cat?

  • @PhiloYT1 There are wedge heads and apple heads. The Lady and the Tramp siamese are the wedge heads. The apple heads are also known as traditional.

  • @dottieilikeyou

Since "Lady and the Tramp" was made back in the 50's I think it's more likely those siamese are meant to be the old fashioned more round headed kind...I believe they didn't start really changing the cats into wedge heads until the 60's or so. And the film is even set in the early 1900 or something. So they are definitely the old type "traditional" siamese.

  • @dottieilikeyou Thanks, this always confuses me.

  • I have two silent Siamese cats, they don't tallk much. They have different personalities. The male one gets along really well with the tabby cat. The female one always prefers to stay by her own and she is more as a territorial cat. If there are any outdoor cats passed by our house, she will stand her ground(It seems like she is trying to protect her property). Both of them get along pretty well with family members and they have a high loyalty to one particular owner.

  • I don't really understand the modern Siamese like why did they breed them to look like anorexic supermodels.

  • my mom had on that was 24 years old the best cats ever!

  • I first got my cat Elvis from my parents. I was thinking "cat=antisocial&quiet". Then I take him home and he's like, "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah-blah-blah blah blah blah blah blah blah-blah-blah."

That was unexpected, but I still adore him :)

  • Siamese very good company.

  • Chek out I'm a cat lady who knew?

  • My two male cats are part siamese and half moggie (otherwise known as a mutt) and they are everything siamese in personality. Both are EXTREMELY vocal, are very affectionate, playful, and have quirky personalities. Tom, my baby, is SUPER protective of me to the point that he will beat up/hiss/yowl at his brother and other people if they sit next to me when I'm on the couch.

They also 'talk' to you, which is pretty cute.

  • I've three cats. We start by adopting a tabby(Gin) and a siamese(Bailey). 1 yr later,we decide to adopt another siamese(Whiskey). Bailey is a very territorial cat. When i first introduced Whiskey to the family, Gin accepted him within an hour of investigation, while Bailey refused to have this new kitten around. She did not want to share any of her properties, including me, to a new cat. When we had group play, she would kick whiskey away.

  • haha, Yeah, some can be very territorial. They have almost dog-like qualities about them, I've never had cats that are so territorial over people and properties as these two siameses are. But they are not as aloof as some cats I've had so it's not too bad :)

Amazing that you adopted 3 cats though :) My two boys were dropped off at my house at 2 weeks old :(

  • I was originally hoping to buy cats from breeder. But when i saw those lovely innocent abandoned kittens in the shelter, I immediately change my mind. I am really glad to have them in my life... :) My Siamese will sleep head to head with me almost every night....

  • haha! I thought my cats were the only ones that wanted to sleep less than an inch from my face haha!

But I am glad you decided to adopt :) Adoption is awesome. But an ethical breeder is a very good choice too.

  • Beautiful presentation, I had a chocolate one for quite a few years. She was in deed very vocal. when in heat she would literally say "want man! now!" and if I told her no she would whip around, stare at me with those big blue eyes and say very clearly "Awe maw!" If she was alive I would happily show everyone, but some jealous person poisoned her while she was in care of my Mom:(

  • Siamese are very smart, loud, nuts, & loving...they are not for everyone, but for someone who likes loud & nuts this is the cat for them !

  • the modern siamese looks like an alien. I prefer the traditional one (Thai)

  • lol, I agree. The traditional one is gorgeous while the modern one looks like E.T

  • am i right in thinking this is one of the oldest cat breeds around? it seems like a lot like the ocicat etc. have developed from the siamese?

i personally have a lilac point siamese and he's 5 years old and gorgeous :) he's really attached to me but the rest of the family really enjoy him and his talking :)

  • most siamese seam sycotic to me

  • My Siamese 'Kiri' is awesome! She plays fetch like a dog with paper balls! (Video on youtube) Yes shes vocal but usually for food, my ex wife got her for me but she has taken well to my new wife who absolutely adores her. They are great cats & extremely intelligent!

  • Siameses are pretty much the smartest cats around.

Had 3 in my family, none traveled well. They were ill in car.

    Very developed personlaity.

Very playful. Vert healthy. But dominant cat. It has to be reminded its place now and then, otherwise it enslaves you.

  • everything they said my siamese cat snowball does lol she hates being alone

  • i have an oriental longhair that is elegant and a little too energetic

  • I wonder why thin cats are always long skulled and big eared while cobby cats tend to have small ears and rounded skulls.

I don't know any thin bodied breed with small ears nd rounded head.

  • Like your video on Siamese , i had 3 of them , 1 blue point apple , 1 choclate point wedgey, , and a seal point apple , only have the seal point now , just lost my male choclate point at the age of 12, , trying to locate the breeder of him ? not much luck ! Thanks for posting your beautiful blue point !

  • My grandmother had a siamese cat who was very affectionate and he could actually sense when someone was feeling down and comfort that person

  • @Molterno that goes for all cats too. they can feel human emotions

  • @Molterno that's not just siamese cats...all cats do! :)

  • Looks like my cat Pheobe when she was young, she is ten now. Siamese are the best!

  • They are very vocal cats My half siamese kitten, Wally never shuts up.

  • I have a half Siamese that never shuts up either, he makes wierd bark like noises at the moon. I'm not joking, has anyone else experienced this?

  • my mom cleans houses and one of the houses has a bunch of these and she sais they don't shut up they just follow her around and mow at the top of their lungs

  • Great info.I look forward to the many years I have left w/ my siamese.I have a pure white siamese except on her ears and tail. They're orange. We think she's got other breeds mixed in but we don't know what. She's got gorgeous blue eyes. very vocal and active. She's my lap kitty. She's also got a kink in her tail which is rare to find now.her name is Peach.the petstore gave her the name and we couldn't think of anything else. Thanks!

  • .. thank you so much, i did not know that siamese lived that long.. i thought it usually like.. 14-16 x-x ma cats siamese. shes 10 now.. <3 hope she lives another 10 and more <3

    thank you

  • Such beautiful cats! I have a Cornish Rex who is similar to a Siamese.

  • I have two siamese cats. Their names?

S*Blue Avenys Lucky Luke and S*Nonimonos Azazello.

I also have a short haired oriental named S*Silvermountains Akilles. With these three cats you never have a boring moment at home. Promise!

  • very good report, I am a proud owner of a Siamese since 4 weeks, I must say its my dream cat, after my dog died in the age of 18 years, I grow him up right from birth, the mother did not feed or look after her puppies. Because health reason did not allowed me another dog, and since I have a housecat of 6 years, reading of the Siamese character, I got my male Siamese cat . I have seen a lots of cats from friends but the Siamese is a very special cat, I sure took the right choice, Wonderful cat!

  • I have one pure breed male siamese cat named Kami. I just love these cats and love to have silly conversations with them :3 too bad I didn't have the money to buy another one to keep him company so we bought a mix breed that is wonderful as well and we love them both. He's a coward though our siamese. Always hiding when someone comes trough the front door, even when I come home, then he realises that its me and runs back! His dad was a European champion so we're thinking of putting him in shows.

  • i adore these cats. i'm not usually a cat person, but I love siamese cats :)

  • My Siamese cat's name is Coco Snoo Snoo, FYI xD

  • I am saving up for a purebred one, a lilac point!

    i can't wait!

  • how much ?

  • We had a (registered) Lilac Point Siamese in the 1960's when I was a child.

Though "Silver" was declawed (my parents' decision, not mine), he would capture birds & squirrels & bring them into the house... alive. (He was also neutered.)

He was dog-like, not only fetching but running out to dad's car to greet him every night.

Silver also had a penchant for wool garments. He would eat them, all of them(!)

A delightful character! I still remember him fondly.

  • Wow! Sound's like a kool cat... reminds me of my Siamese kitty's..... they are very dog like xD

  • I've talked with Jackie Pfander on email before and she was very helpful.

I have 2 Russian Blues right now, but would some day like to buy a couple of seal point Siamese kittens from a CFA registered cattery. They are absolutely gorgeous, brilliant cats! And you can easily hear where a Siamese is at when you're at a show! :)

If anyone has experiences with REGISTERED Siamese cats, please feel free to leave a message on my channel page about your experiences. :)

    Thanks for posting!

  • i have 4 siamese they are great cats and they live with a dog and a rabbit with no problems. But yes they are very vocal and can get themselves into trouble.

  • bullshit, the siamese was originally seen in thailand- and precisely, mine ADORE dogs.

  • Siamese don't guard crap. Mine was a scared little bitch. However, very cool cat all the way.

  • Yes, they do guard and protect. As a child we had a seal point that was protective of my sister and me. When my daughter was born my Siamese took to sleeping on a dresser eye level with her crib and took up guard. She and my half Siamese chased a guest out of the baby's bedroom when he peeked in without me or husband with him. Not all guard, but many do!

  • lol are you on crack

  • my cat looks just like that cat and it is chill as fuck and super smart.

  • To exstacymethbaby:

It was the egyptian mau that originated in egypt

  • research... might help... because the term "Siamese" was what the Chinese called the Thai people at one point in history

  • siamese are cute but if they were treated like crap when they were kittens, they bites u till they taste ur blood, beside that theyre a good companion ^_^ sadly i dont have one, i got 1 regular cat 1 wich idk its race and a yougn fluffy one!

  • ...i dont like them i had one once and it bit the hell out of me

  • yeah ! my siamese attacked my ex !!! my cat live indoor BUT ! she run outdoor with me when i go jogging :) she act like a dog! so funny !! SIAMESES ARE THE BEST!!

  • Oh yeah i have a adult sealpoint male and he is so bad with visitors..he goes straight for the legs getting his bunny feet going..i tell people to let him smell you first they laugh and walk away to there peril..

  • If your personal preference is to keep a cat indoors OK. However myself and every cat in the world prefers the real world outdoors where a cat can truly be a cat.

  • Personally, I don't let my cats outside to be hit by a car, poisoned by the neighbors, etc. Yes it does happen, We have a responsibility to keep our animals safe from evil people.

  • Cats should not be allowed to run wild in the neighborhood. Being a responsible owner is to keep your cat inside, or on some sort of leash/direct supervision when it is outside. Cats roaming cause cat fights, out of control breeding and cause indoor cats to get lost because they get out in an attempt to find the outside cats. Be responsible and keep your cat INSIDE.

  • Jusr lovely(L) I love siameses, I have an siamese seal point in my house she's just beautiful and very energic. Siameses are the best cat ever.

  • I miss my Siamese cats that I've lost through the years. They are just as playful and into things and can be very loud as she says. Having been around other breeds, I find them to be the most intelligent breed of cats.

  • And they can also pick up disease and parasites if you let them run outdoors unsupervised. Siamese cats rock. Heck, all cats rock.

  • Hi. I have a blue point Siamese Cat. His name is Leo. His Dutch name is Louderwyk. He is almost identical to the siamese cat in the video. He is a typical siamese cat and thinks he IS ROYALTY and often literally looks down upon us the lowly peasants lol....he is beautiful and so clean and highly intelligent...he is now 4 years old and is really owning me and the rest of my family and thinks he is worth a million dollars...Leo brings a lot of joy to my home and we really love him

  • I have a 10 month old Siamese/DSH cross. He favors the Siamese side of him though. He's very vocal, very playful, and just loves our 2 year old West Highland White Terrier!

  • wow, she has an absilutly gorgous siamese!

  • i had to have my siamese cat put to sleep early this year. she would have been 18 years old on this father's day. :(

  • ....

then why is my blue point lazy and evil?

  • we are siamese if you.... sorry, watching lady and the tramp

  • jerk

  • insulting my youtube screen name? now who's the 10 year old

  • haha, that's cool. she/he just got PWNED

  • Why would you say something like that? You're an ass.

  • My family adopted a red point Siamese from our local shelter, and he is the love of our lives now! He loves our dogs to the point he will bother them for attention. During dinner, he likes to jump onto the cupboard or crawl under the table cloth because he feels ignored. At night, he sleeps under the covers behind someones knees. He is such a character!

  • He sounds gorgeous! How lovely that you and your family found and adopted him. Best wishes to you all : )

  • this siamese looks identical to my siamese. such beauties

  • that cat is beautiful:)

  • Have a loudmouth Lilac Point, 13 years old and still acting like a fool...love him to death..."CALEB" the Siamese if you please or if you don't please !

  • vocal is right. Mine yowls to himself all the time.

  • vocal like a teenager on a cell phone. When I get home from work or class my blue point will sit on me and "chit chat" for an hour or more. But they really are an awesome breed, and incredibly loving, I wake up in the morning to this little cat trying to nuzzle me awake. She tries to comfort people when their upset or sick, and talks back to oprah. Siamese are perfect if your looking for a big personality.

  • Fortunately, our six "meezers" aren't noisy, except on the way to the vet. They do not like the vetspital trip. They are quiet on the way home. I have four seals, one blue and one flame. They are the best.

  • In my life I have owned to date seven Siamese cats in the past 43 years.Five have past over the Rainbow Bridge and are waiting for me.The two I have now one Blue Point name "BLU" and a Seal Point named "SI" brothers and retired show cats are six years old.Siamese are the best and fun to own a very playful, demaning, vocal, intelligence, faithful and loving cat.Dogs have owners....Cats have a staff...

  • i have 2 siMESE cats one seal, and the other choc, they fetch balls and more or less whatever you throw, the are half sisters a yr apart and I adore them

  • Someone said: "a Siamese is a cat,a dog and a monkey all in one" how true! We´ve got two of them plus two Thais. They are the best felinotherapist one can imagine; cute, intelligent, sweet and demanding, soft, cudly, understanding. Better, than one siamese are two or of them. LOVE THEM!

  • I had a blue point recently that passed away from old age, but she only lived to be 11 sadly.

  • I've decided to get a Siamese! This is a great vid, with awesome info. Thanks for sharing.

  • i have a siamese named simon and he's very sweet and a very good cat!!

and just like in this video he ''defends'' me from my other cat and sits on my lap

  • Beautiful cat. I have a brother and sister pair that look like there from the same litter as yours. The replaced a pair of seal point siamese that were 15 and 18 years old.

  • I have a seal point named Jager. (German for Hunter.)

He is the most loving kitty! I sometimes think he believes he's a dog. (He grew up with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!) The two of them actually wrestle - like two little boys! And believe me, Jager starts it as often as my dog!

Jager doesn't holler all the time, but he does talk to me which is one of the things I like best about the Siamese!

  • yeah...vocal...that's an understatement

  • yeh, my mom's friend's siamese, booger, she knocked stuff over alot.

  • I think the noise might be my favorite part :)

  • I have 2 favorite breeds - Siamese and Cornish Rex. If I could get a pointed cornish rex I would be in heaven! I love both personalities. I have a seal point and a lynx point siamese plus my cornish rex. They are truly loves of my life. LOVE THEM!!! I love how vocal they are!

  • this is an attractive cat. probably really cool pet. i could not stand the noise, however.

just check out some Utuber vids on this type and you'll see how vocal they are. it would drive me crazy ;)

  • I watched the series and I have to say that most statements about cats' behaviour are true for any cat. It's annoying to hear all that junk although there are some interesting fact too

  • I have not seen all videos of the series, but I can say that most of the characteristics described for the siamese are definetly *not* true for any cat. They are special...believe me. Anyone who owns one of these will agree.

  • I have 2 Siamese cats. Ones nickname is "screamer"

  • I have a female old style siamese named Morgana , and yeah she is very vocal , active and very very persistent what some times can be annoying but show how much she loves me and my family , but she is very jealous and aggressive about new animal and other cats , and I'm thinking in getting a russian blue Kittie as my second cat and I don't know how she will react , what do you think about it?

  • Hi my name is Barbara,iv had siamese for a number of yrs, they tend to like there own kind.I had a beautiful deven rex, then got a siamese, the siamese bullied my rex for the rest of her life,so be ware,xx

  • I miss my cats Tao and Chang. Two of the best cat's I've ever owned.

  • I have a chocolate point but his face is more to a point.

  • I got a blue point 8 months ago, and he is by far the best cat everrrrr!! He fetches, and cuddles, and is super affectionate!

My cat is similar to the one in the vid. A lovely blue point named Bailey :)

  • the cat in this video looks exactly like my siamese ISIS :) greattttttt cats !

  • What a great video! We have our own Siamese/Oriental cat chat site. If anyone wanted to come and visit then you are more than welcome. Registration is free and we are called siameseorientalcatchatclub (you can find the link on our youtube page).

Once again, thank you for sharing your wonderful video.
