I like the idea of the manual defense grid for melee pretty clever, one of those new belkin mmo mouses would come in really handy games like this, it's got an 8way thumb button you could use to toggle your defense grid or sheild around instead of giving yourself carpal tunnel with all the ctrl shift clicks hotkeys.
