  • Does anyone know the actor's name combing his hair behind Richie and Potsie? He was an extra forever on the show. Thx.

  • EXCELLENT! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

  • @gl797 What's so bad about the Happy Days theme? I really don't get why people are so against the 'Happy Days' theme. It's much more catchy than 'Rock Around the Clock', is unique to the show, and makes the titles more memorable.

  • Bill Haley rocks!

  • Happy Days was great early on Im talking about the 1st 3 seasons as time went by it started to get kind of stupid.

  • Chuck was abducted by Aliens his families memory of him was wiped clean .

  • @imissda80s It was Mork who did that!

  • that theme song sucks

  • I really liked this opening credit sequencet! And you definitely can't go wrong with "Rock around the Clock" as your theme song! The later "Happy Days" Theme was so slick and overproduced imho.

  • Back when the Fonz wore a Kmart barracuda jacket, instead of his trademark leather jacket. LOL :P

  • Great Show. This was when the episodes were good.

  • i felt its first season was more earnest, like american grafitti, but in later years, when they added the 'happy days' theme, and mork showed up etc etc the show just became silly.

  • i remember the dilemma in those days were what you were going to watch?

good times (cbs) or happy days(abc) at 8:00 on tuesday nights? It didn't take many weeks to figure out that happy days was the better show especially in the early days!

  • Actually on the Cosby Show, the oldest kid just appeared after the show was already on. It's a reverse sibling show.

  • I remember when "Laverne and Shirley" first went into syndication, it was labeled "Laverne & Shirley and Company".

Kinda weird how they did that.

  • Also, when it first came on the air, Laverne & Shirley, it had their last name.

  • I totally forgot about that -- good point !!

  • Even weirder. "Laverne & Shirley & Company" used a different font for their title card (similar to a font called Brush Script...find it at MyFonts) then the one they used for the network airing (which is the one familiar to us now).

"Happy Days Again" just used the same one as "Happy Days". Kinda wonder why they did THAT.

  • If you look at the 45 being put on the jukebox, you will notice that it says Happy Days.

  • i think richie and ralph both went into the army in greenland

  • wow how times have changed 1:30 for opening titles now there isn't even any opening theme or titles on most shows.

  • Chuck disappeared... so did the oldest daughter on the Cosby show. He started with 5 kids... then stuffed the oldest back up the vag. Also - Ralph Malf was a "cool Senior" in the first season.. and then his charator was changed to a dickhead clown. Now - that's great writing.

  • This was when the show went into syndication at the same time that new episodes were still being produced. They called it "Happy Days Again" to differentiate new episodes from old ones.

  • To quote Geoff Edwards, "Right you are!"

  • Ain't Wikipedia great? *grin*

  • this was true classic tv

  • Like This Song then Happy days song

  • 0:47 old girls weave got pulled out

  • LOL @ Potsie @ 1:24!!

  • Yeah he sucks.

  • The first season is my favorite. :) And they should have kept this song as thier theme song!! :) Still the ''Happy Days'' theme song is cool as well. :)

  • I thought Chuck went on to college to play basketball. His character was too dumb for military. lol

  • he did. Richie was the one who joined the Military.

  • I thought Chuck went to the service? No?

  • Yeah, that's right.

  • NO Richie did though. Chuck left for college.

  • @boofdfast no Ritchie did chuck just went away and was never herd from again.

  • @boofdfast They never said what happened to Chuck.

  • WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CHUCK?

  • He went to college.

  • Chuck went upstairs and never came back down. A TV character vanishing and never being mentioned again is known as "pulling a Chuck Cunningham".

  • The same thing happened with Jaimee Foxworth who played "Julie" on Family Matters. She once joked that "she went upstairs and never came down. maybe she's still up there."

  • @arthurv2008 Oh, she went down all right...

  • @ErlenmeyerFlask Why the hell do you think Tom Bosley was so fat? He ate him.

  • @jardinepatten

That's horrible. I'll never look at the show in the same way now.

  • thank you... this was way better of a theme song then the other one... the other one was to 70's not enough 50's thanks!

  • ...I don't know...I kinda liked the other one better.

  • Remember, "Bag?" I remember him mostly from the Halloween special.

  • does anyone know which episode of "Happy Days" the diner caught fire?

  • The "Hot Stuff" episode. Can't remember the season, though.

  • Thanks!

  • This is an abridged version of the original 1955 recording of Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock".

  • Holy crap, I feel like I just travelled in time and went back 32 years. Thanx for posting this.

  • Que buen recuerdo!!!

  • Back in those days, if a show aired syndicated reruns while it was still in production, they had to change the title to avoid confusing viewers (Laverne & Shirley & Company, CHiPs Patrol, More Real People, etc.).

  • To WhatsAYak, They obviously didn't think the Fans of the shows were bright enough not to know they were Reruns....back during that time I knew they were in reruns....doesn't take a genius to know that. They just were insulting the fans by doing that.

  • if you can can u post lex luger theme song the narcissist

  • who made this song

  • Bill Haley and the Comets.

  • Best Happy days intro during the show's run.

  • Best Happy Days opening during its run..without a doubt!
