I agree that it happens more often than it should. But you have to look at it from a cop's point of view. If a gun is pointed at him, real or not, he has to make a split second decision to shoot. I'm guessing most don't want to take that time to decide if what he sees is orange paint or glint from the sun. All he knows is a gun is pointed at him/another person and has to react. Unfortunately it's a lose-lose situation. He hesitates, he gets killed. Act on instinct, he kills an innocent person.

that actually happened to me, i guess a neighbor saw us outside with a couple of these. as soon as i saw the cop car coming down the street i put it on the ground. told my friend to do the same. im sure the cop was relieved, being that he turned the corner and saw 2 guys with (real as far as he was concerned) guns and hes still in his car LoL bet that got his heart rate up a bit
