@ojin333 so how's your iphone4 now with it buggy attenna did you get your pretty pink case to fix it LOL... Can't wait when HTC HD3 arrives with Windows 7 it going to blow away junk iphone4
@ojin333, i agree with Javeedizeable. Currently, the best hardware specs for a device reside on the EVO/HD2 but the EVO runs Google Android, which is without a doubt much better than mobile 6.5. However, you should look into Windows Phone 7 which should be coming out around OCT 2010. HTC confirmed they will make a device for this new OS and run a version of their Sense UI on top of it.
@ojin333 Don't get me wrong. The iphone4 is good, even thought they say it's the windows vista of cell phones. I'd say that it's all about personal preference. Most people jump on the bandwagon of getting an iphone because that's what's hot on the market right now. The Android 2.1 OS running on an HTC device really blew me away and I had to get one for myself. Aside from that... on nov 8 when WP7 comes out, iphones and androids may become a thing of the past.
You need to use the "Skyfire" internet browser for flash support. Opera mobile currently does not support flash. The hero is the same device (hardware) with some minor exceptions and it runs android instead of Windows mobile 6.5. I prefer windows so I would choose the HD2 over the hero. Watch out for the rumored "HD3" supposedly running windows mobile 7 with a 1.5GHz processor (Nov, '10) that will make this device a thing of the past
@x27m Im using Skyfire at my Nokia n96. The program is slow as hell. Opera Mobile is much faster then it but yea.. if you open websites where you need flash, then skyfire is the right one. What i like most on Skyfire is that you can see Youtube just on how it is at your PC and not the annoying Mobile Version. =)
@Jawez2045 i'm not sure what OS is running on that phone. However, I just purchased an HTC Aria which runs Google's Android OS with the HTC sense UI on top. I found Skyfire to be the best internet browser for that device and it is by far the best internet experience I've ever seen on a phone - very smooth when scrolling or pinch zooming, and extremely fast (no checker-boarding.)
i wonder if windows mobile 7 will be any good. if i recall correctly HD2 will be able to run mobile 7. hope it will be much better than 6.5... 7with HTC sense!! :D
Everything Google has is based on making money out of their spyware like android, google toolbar, gogle earth and such things even Youtube! (I'll be banned for this^^)
You displayed the ability to multitask on this phone. The Samsung Omnia has a dedicated button that you press to easily switch from one runninn task to another, how easy is it to do this on the HTC HD2
You can take the Motorola Droid with Android 2.0, has a similar screen, not so large of course, it can support multitouch and it has the same camera with dual Led flash...
I've played with the Droid and came away disappointed. The screen is great, but the keyboard is borderline useless. Also, the browser is still laggy compared to HD2, iPhone or N900.
Yes the Droid "supports" multi-touch, but it does not in any of the apps that you care about (browser, maps, gallery, etc.)
How does the phone feel in your pocket? Would you consider using this phone fulltime?
Also, I didn't really get the multitasking, is it like on Android when programs keep on running in the background and close the program after a while? Isn't there any possibility to get to that old' RAM and multitasking meny? Sincerely
Nice Videos ... as always :-) Could you test how you can deal with programs that are not finger optimized (i.e. small buttons and controls) ... could be hard due to the smaller resolution of the capacitive touchscreen compared to a resistive one.
And another question: Is it possible to use the device one-handed and would you say that´s hard?
wonder if you could go more deep into windows itself and commet how much it is or isn't finger friendly. I own Touch HD and using stylus quite alot. Not that i need to most of the time. So will i miss stylus if i decide to upgrade? cheers
this phone is CRAZY...its like htc just shoved a bunch of top notch specs into this device:1ghz cpu, 5mp cam(dual led flash),video recording at 30fps, 4.3' screen(with highest resolution),512rom 488ram(not to mention a micro sd card slot up to 32gb)...THIS PHONE IS UNREAL!!!!!

Word is HTC support, not MS, just needs to be enabled in the registry.
On T-Mobile, go to all settings, connections, "Proxy Settings" and uncheck the "this connection uses a proxy server" box and it should be okay.
Also, you've called this "HTC HD3 - Day 3", you had me worried there! :D
