    God bless you

  • What the hell? Where's the audio?

  • Comment removed

  • I love the audience

  • WOW O:

  • Thank you. I learned something today because of this poem.

    Aloha from Hawaii,

    Thomas

  • Every time I watch him, I speak better for the next few hours. Maybe I should watch him every day. I would speak better, probably. :)

  • Dude is a monster

  • I hate poetry, but I love his poems. Poetry doesn't make any sense to me, but his does. Thank you Mr. Mali for creating poetry that I can enjoy :)

  • I like this poem because I once met Mr. Mali at a returaunt I used to work at and was totally embarresingly struddering and spellbound for this exact reason.

  • what a beautiful poem. the endings always leave me with a bit of a punch :)

  • Fantastic stuff!

  • I have always been proud of being a teacher but thank you Mr. Mali for making me even prouder!

  • Goosebumps every time I listen to you! Thank you!

  • Mr. Mali, YOU are the passion of my lions! :)

  • search "luciana mocchi - tu luz"!! :)

  • I had a conversation with someone on youtube once. My english wasn't perfect and he made sure to let me know that. I must admit he used big words and criticized my poor english skills. Now when I look back that person was arrogant he took the knowledge that he was better at using english than me and used it to ridicule me. After seeing this I now know that he wasn't the victor in our conversation, I was. I care more about what people say whether the grammar is wrong.

  • @straightjacket510 Very well said, my friend. I hate to admit having been a "grammar Nazi" in the past, but you get your point across so well, that I don't think it matters, personally! And having taken some harsh criticism on YouTube myself, I'm learning that there will always be critics, but ultimately, I can be the bigger person.

  • that said, that being said, having said that....

    LMAO!

  • He looks like Mel Gibson in 'Patriot'.

Unfortunately, Gibson doesn't have 1/2 of this man's intellect.

  • you are the passion of my lions.

  • Love it!

  • I need to do public speaking like him. I honestly thought the entire thing was a poem. :)

  • ... I actually thought he was reciting a poem for the first one and a half minutes.

  • I thought that the beginning of this video was a poem.

  • This is great! Know one will correct the grammar in my comment

  • @Mukuro666 Nope! Just your spelling!

    "No one will correct..."

  • "Irregardless of the context you are speaking in"

    LMAO

  • When i was a kid, i used to correct the notes my friends passed me. As a teen, I would wince when people used incorrect grammar and correct them. Now I force myself to simply be open to receive the point the person is trying to make. My relationships have definitely improved.

  • @captainterrible525

this comment should be required reading for all you grammar nazis

  • @globulin if that's true then I retract my comment . @nvyseal199 just because its in a dictionary that doesn't make it proper English which I assumed mr Mali is quite good at

  • KingZaos, he used it ironically.

  • Ironically he used the term "irregardless" which Is a double negative (ir - and -less) the correct term is "regardless"

  • @KingZaos dude, look it up on the online dictionary, it's there

  • I correct grammar and spelling all the time. I can't read something if those two elements are messed up, but I can understand that people aren't perfect. The only thing that really gets on my nerves is pronunciation and making up words. I'm fine when people use a real word in the wrong place (because at least they can learn the meaning of the word and learn where to use it), but making up words to seem smart doesn't work for me.

  • This is the best poem of all. I always correct the grammar of other people when they speak, and people often say that I'm intimidating because of how eloquently I speak. But this...this poem is awesome.

  • My english teacher showed us his poem about speaking with conviction in class today and now im hooked

  • awesome as usual! love it!

  • I'm 17 years old and my english literature teacher incessantly corrects my grammar mistakes, pronunciation and what not when I speak to her which sometimes gets me down. I became cautious of the words I choose especially when I speak to her and sometimes that makes me stutter a bit. But this poem that Taylor Mali read is inspiring to me and makes me laugh.

Hope he continues doing this for a long while. =)

  • Being a person who is always correcting others' grammar, I fully appreciate this poem. Just because I am strict when it comes to the written rules of communication, people often feel intimidated talking to me face to face, but really there is no need. ^_^

  • irregardless! lol.

    I loved the last line.

  • I love how people are talking about grammar in the comments...it makes me happy! Plus I just love this video/ poem/ Taylor Mali in general :)

  • ill tell you what kills me is the girl laughing in this video

  • ah, Mr Mali does it again... brilliant . and is that Sarah Kay i hear in the background??

  • Wank, on a Taylor Mali video? Shame on you, @zengrenouille.

  • stunning... then again, I expect nothing less.

  • Or indeed 'his' or 'her', before you call me up on that.

  • His noun and pronoun didn't agree with each other when he said "in their left eye." Their is plural and eye is singular. I just thought I should point that out since he said that he corrects grammar.

  • @zengrenouille You're incorrect.

  • @zengrenouille 'Their' can be singular or plural, because it's neuter i.e. ungendered and neither passive nor active. In this case it was used because the sex of the person was unknown or could have been either, so 'he' or 'she' would have made less sense in context.

  • @Fitchsticks I love you.

I tried explaining this in 4th grade and not even the teacher understood me. :|

  • @SynestheticSoul Heh, thankyou. I did Latin at school and our teacher made us know this stuff, she was ace. Pronouns translate very specifically :/

  • @Fitchsticks That's absolutely incorrect. People just accept the use of their as singular, but it is not correct to use it in the singular form. It should be his or her. It is also perfectly acceptable to just say his when there is an unknown gender, but our society has pretty much exorcised that in the name of feminism.

  • @zengrenouille

There is such a thing as "singular they". It's non-gender specific and commonly used as a term to categorize both. Anyone who thinks "their" ideas are the only correct ideas should google it.

  • Him make me wants to talk English more goodly!

  • another gooden'.. muchos respect

  • This is absolutely amazing!!!

  • I'm in love. :)

  • I've made it a personal goal to remove the need for any unnecessary additional words in my everyday speech such as "like", "You know", and others.

You, Mr. Mali, have inspired me.

  • That's an interesting resolution. It would be difficult to keep, though. :)

  • this man's a genius
