@superscout14 Hedgehogs look cute and innocent when they are domesitcated. If a hedgehog was prevoked to take a run for it he could run at 4.5 miles an hour. All hedgehogs curl up into a ball when they are scared or to feel comfortable. Sonic the hedgehog is basically just a hedgehog painted blue with shoes. All hedgehogs especially mine named sam are awesome, weither they are blue or not. Stop by and check out my video in the video responses for this video.

Just for the record, you should never feed a hedgehog chili. As cute as it would be to treat him like the cartoon character, onions and spicy peppers are actually very bad for real hedgehogs. So are chives and garlic. They can also choke on nuts and dried fruit like raisins. But cooked, lean meat is ok as a treat. ^^

I wouldn't recomend that, when ever a hedgehog curles into a ball, their feet follow their head inside the ball. It will probably lick the paint off which would be very bad if that were to happen, or it will sniff in the paint smell giving it poison.

Well its really the same concept when it comes to paint/dye, it could probably still get poisoned by the dye if it licks it to much. But it varies on what kind of dye you would use.

A bud of mine once had a hedgehog. He lived right down the road from me. Snicker...He bleached it white on accident about 3 years back and it's still white to this very day. I call it silver. Snicker. He thought he was using shampoo!! Ha ha ha ha!!!

The secret is, his brother, ray, put the bleach in the animals shampoo as an april fools trick. It was so funny I nearly wet myself laughing. that poor creature.

i agree. not that you shouldnt own one i guess. but rather try to hold it with just your bare hands. it needs to know yuour scent anywhere and anytime and know that its safe to be around you. when you wear gloves it only recognizes the smell of the glove more rather than your actual hands. it doesnt hurt to hold it , if not you should ask the pet store to teach you how
