  • Could I borrow him? My boxer is terrorizing the cats and I think he might be able to teach him a lesson.

  • @MutimirRX lol yeah right... the boxer will still rip it to shreds hounds are more powerful then cats hounds are brutal beasts built for speed and power cats are built to be stealthy, agile and able to sprint quickly they are the hunters...

  • do these get big?

  • wait what? a wild Lynx just randomly walks up to you backyard? o_o

  • erm arent lynx endangered?

  • @htirah100 Yes, some species of lynx are endangered and even extinct.

  • @EvilCatsss does the sabre toorh tiger is related?

  • @EvilCatsss The saber-toothed cat is in the same family (Felidae) as the lynx. You have the internet at your hands, use it!

  • @EvilCatsss They are just in a completely separate subfamily.

  • The video's voice-over: "As soon as I say that he walks away." I wonder, say what?

  • Lynx are one of the cutest creatures ever :'(

  • what state do u live in?!?!?!? im moving there.... where ever it is.

  • yeah my neighbor has a lynx all he had to do was pay for a permit to own it. i think its stupid though because his regular tabby is almost as big and a lot meaner.

  • "backyard cat"...i'm assuming from this description it's wild, just "adopting you"?

It's a blessing when an exotic creature like this takes an interest in your life. Treat him well, but respect his wildness.

  • In my school were called Untalan Middle School home of the Wildcats!we have 3 types of groups!

    6A Cheetahs;6B Lynx;6C Pumas

  • I'm swedish, and i have seen lynx in the "mountains" its name fjäll on swedish but i just say mountains now :p

  • @mrn1997. det finns väl inte så många här i sverige?

  • i want a lynx soo badly , but idk if its legal in jersey &+ how much their sold for . any ideas??

  • Whoevers talking about needing a license to own a lynx is retarded. Private breeders will sell you that shit any day. I have a friend who takes in abused lynx's and bengals, and nor him OR his girlfriend have a license for anything like that. It's not like its a damn lion. They are barely even bigger than the normal house cat full grown. That's like saying you need a license to own a snake, and we all know that isn't true.

  • @Yuffie3982 actually most states in american think of lynx as wild cats and allow them to be domestic free of any charges, i know because I grew up in many states in America.

  • @Yuffie3982 I have a pet lynx and i have a license, not hard to get you just need a brain, some research, time and money

  • i hope its not really your pet, just avisitor i hope

  • WOW is he yours or a wild cat thats awsome :D i wish their was More in this world

it sure would show a dog a thing or 2

  • there are more you just half to bileve ther are

  • well im english ive never seen anything like this

  • How can I get one? IT's soooo beautiful.

    thanx for vid

  • first you get an exotic pet lisence and then... well... idk after that lol sry, google it :]

  • then you get an exoctic breeder to sell one to you stupid. That wasn't hard at all LOL!

  • yeh ilovechristopher is right all you need is an exotic pet lisence. I want to get a lynx, or even better a wolf! lol :F

  • wolf, wont it likely eat you?

and don't they need other wolves? idk though =p

  • nah, you train it, this is ma otha acc

(0xDethklokx0) and no they can lone but it wont be as easy as hunting with a pack... but yeh thats wut i thought at first... hehe dat just reminded me of a funny story, ok one time when i lived in cali, one of my friends had a pet wolf, and she took it for a walk, and she took it inside and she left it by her cats, so they went to watch tv and when they came back all the cats were gone and there was blood everywhere, (da wolf ate them all rofl!!)

  • I like the long legs on the Lynx,

  • and the 6 toes =D makes it look lionish

  • Actually, Lynx are NOT illegal to have as pets, in most states. You just need permits.

I wish I could have one.

I'm still working on my mother letting me get a tarantula, haha.

  • you can actually have them as a pet?

  • yes & yes (to jax)

  • is it legal to have a pet lynx?

  • omg i think theyre so cute!!!!!!!!

  • nice man i like cats, but i dont want to get too close too them

  • The Canadian Lynx is my favorite Lynx.

  • A wild lynx would never let a human get within 20 yards of it. The behavior is a clear indication it was brought up by humans. And to the people who are confused about wild animals. If they are tamed then they aren't wild are they? Some animals can't really be tamed like tigers, but lynx are fine.

  • I disagree, I have a friend who lives in the Scottish Highlands who daily feeds a wildcat. It is a native wildcat and not a feral domestic cat. When it first appeared it stole his own cats food, several months later my friend was putting raw meat out in a bowl and watching the wildcat eat its meal while my friend sat not eight feet away. Cat has dissapeared now, maybe dead, may have gone to another territory or found a mate.

It may not be a Lynx but just as wild

  • Lynx aren't wildcats (Well, to make things confusing the bobcat is a species of lynx, and in the South, it's called a wildcat. It's not.) Lynx have vast home ranges. The Canada Lynx lives almost entirely on snowshoe hares, while the bobcat is a generalist. Although the Canada Lynx is taller than the bocat, they weigh about the same. This is a different species than the lynx of Eurasia that weighs up to 70 lbs or the rare Iberian Lynx.

  • Actually, they are wild cats, but the rest of the info you provide is correct.

  • your so lucky

  • there is nothing wrong with having a lynx for a pet as long as you stay with it

  • Is that really your pet, or just a wild lynx? In my opinion lynx belong in the wild, and shouldn't be kept as pets for many reasons ^^

  • yeah i hope its not hers/his because they are meant to live in the wild!

  • Ok, every animal that is/has been/ever will be a pet to someone belongs in the wild. So by your logic, there should be no pets at all.

  • Think before you post. Have you ever seen a wild poodle? Or a wild persian cat? These are domesticated animals, bred to be pets.

  • No shit...I said every animal that is domestic was once wild.

  • I'm pretty sure that's just a wild lynx that sometimes comes to his yard.

  • Being confused and vaguely frustrated by something of which you have no knowledge is not "many reasons".

  • Please go to Big Cat Rescue's website, they have a lot of information on this matter. And I have PLENTY OF KNOWLEDGE, thanks

  • thats badass
