I have no clue why people are even comparing films nowadays to this one. Civilization and cultures will change over time whether we like it or not. If anyone believes that family films are dying out then it's just plain ignorance. What she portray here is beautiful and so is those of today. Styles would eventually have to change or become more diverse. There is nothing wrong with being proud of showing "some" skin as long as appropriate. But what doesn't and won't change are human hormones ;)

@sober198383 Those who don't accept that culture tends to change, even by the slightest bit, are quite closed minded. First of all, it's almost impossible for anyone to live without a culture. We are all a part of a universal culture, lucky me. Preservation + adaptation is both importation. It is necessary to wear traditional clothing to cultural events, but that doesn't have to be the case with daily clothing nor films. Sorry if you misunderstood where I was getting at.

@princess2483 This was a good film but I didn't like it at the time of release, didn't want to give it credence because at the time, for me/imo it was the most risque indian film I had seen with regards to romance and I knew this was the begining of indian films becoming more full on generally which you don't seem to like either. Having grown up in the 80's with amitabh films, imo this one at the time was really pushed the boundaries.
