  • Ummm, not to bust your nuts, but if you hold it, it's a static stretch, or more specifically a static active stretch since you're using you muscles to reach the stretched position.

  • Hi KeroroGunsouTX. Thank you for taking a moment to offer your expertise. It is important to be specific when honing parameters out of generalities in order to form a definition. The definition of a dynamic halt stretch was carefully thought out and identified by its practitioners. Yes, there are different types of dynamic halt stretching. However, your statement implies that using muscles to reach a static stretch makes that skill a static active stretch.

  • This is not true and unfortunately I am compelled to correct you. It is possible to finish in a static active stretch without using any muscles at all on the way to the finished static active stretch position. This type of stretch is defined as a passive dynamic halt static active stretch not yet demonstrated on youtube. In other words KeroroGunsouTX its not the way you get into a static active stretch which makes that stretch static active.

  • On the contrary the way you get into or the way you arrive to the static active stretch position can be varied. Due to this KeroroGunsouTX those of us who are training elite athletes are pioneering the way to more specific and well defined parameters of training. Each method has its redeeming qualities and helps contribute to the artistry and skill an elite performer strives to obtain above and beyond his peers when he specializes his regimen.

  • What you name a stretch has everything to do with and depends on what you did or what happened during the entire stretch exercise. Using muscles to achieve a stretch does not necessarily result in a static active stretch and certainly does not make that stretch a static active one.

  • Very good concept. It should work. Good vodeo. Thanks.
