  • Lovely! Very good tutorial! And he is lovely! :-)

  • No salt in the mixture or onions??????

  • its so funny that person is the main indian in the world just like the in books, thanks dude for proving sterotypes wrong haha not really jk

  • 2:13 Water and what ? Maida ? Whats that ?

  • @McSpiffy88 maida means all purpose flour, or white flour.

  • @rehanasadique tnx ^^

  • You are excellent, the way you show the recipe looks very simple even if it is very difficult in reality. I like your expression while you taste the recipe, it inspires me to try the recipe.

    Thanks for all your recipes

  • I'm an Iranian n it's first time that i see sth like this

my mom always make a mixture of potatos n minced meat n spice 4 samosa n actually in Iran we make samosa with potatos n miced meat

OMG,but i like to try this onion samosa, shuld be YAMI MAMI

  • tried them did taste good at all, my husband hated them, stuffing inside the samosa is bad, but used very less oil than regular samosas... i fried the onions like I do, for the curry (dont add poha) add all the items specified like chat masalaand everything - they tasted good after lot of variation.

  • what a fine samosa; my mouth has watered profusely. i will try at home.

  • A Malayalam family who ran our college canteen back at Mount Carmel college Blr sold these...Super loved them back then. Finally found a recipe! Thanks so much!!! Gotta try these tomorrow.

  • @jollyjane08 Now that I have tried it -a warning to everyone DONT even think of wasting your time with this. Thankfully I was heating oil in my kadhai anyways for making kadhi pakode otherwise it'd have meant nothing to eat at home. I wated an hour to turn up with thick chapatis. I had to fry the pohe and onion mixture otherwise it tasted like eating mud -how in the world can we use unwashed thick poha! I have lost all faith on this guy and am back to my fav Sanjeev K.

  • look very good, but what did you call the onion at 1:38, and what did you say 2:19

  • وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

    you are my top chef

  • What is "powa"?

  • @IrtzaChaudhry i know right...wat does it mean?

  • @IrtzaChaudhry : Poha/Powa : It's just flattened rice.

There are two types available, one is really really flat and the other is slightly thicker. But for this recipe you must use the one that's comparatively thicker coz the thin ones won't absorb much moisture from the onions when it cooks.

    Hope this helps. = )

  • @jasonad2208 thanks man

  • @IrtzaChaudhry look for Poha

  • @IrtzaChaudhry

It is Poha not powa.... Flattened rice (also called beaten rice) is a dehusked rice which is flattened into flat light dry flakes... wikipedia.

  • @IrtzaChaudhry pressed rice. :)

  • These are so much better then notherners samosay.

  • i love samosa! thanks for posting!

  • is all purpose flour not made out of wheat? what is the difference between the 2 flours you used?

  • @19tb87 I think he might have meant whole grain (brown) flour as well as white flour, since it's a common mixture when making rotis.

  • WTF??? This is awesome! I have some of these from Yemenise(sp) friends. Awesome but spicy!

  • fuvk yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what is the other ingredient you put in the filling besides onions? What is it called in english and where can I buy it in America?

  • WHT IS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR CALLED IN TELUGU?

  • Your presentation is excellent

Suggestion: When you eat the prepared items at the end, if you can call your crew (cameraman and others) to join with you to eat would be great.

I have learned and tried badhusha, pesarattu, wada (gaarelu), and irani samosa and they all came out excellent.

  • Can somenone tell me what is "pressed rice" , I believe that's what he added right after the onions when making the filling. Thanks

  • @montevidean1

"pressed rice" is an indian item. If you go to any Indian Grocery store and ask for 'Poha'. That is pressed rice. You get Poha in different size of flakes. In general, it does not matter which size flakes you use.

  • BABY SAMOSAS.

  • nice

  • wats powa??...and wats the diff between wheat flour and normal roti flour??..i noe wat all purpose flour is.

  • @choorijamadar

~poha is a factory made indian igredient made from popping, then flattening rice.

~all purpose wheat flour is white and known as maida in indian cooking (it is used in naan, bature, white bread, cake, etc)

~ whole grain whear flour is a little brownish and has more wheat fiber, called aatta in indian cooking (it is used for making chapati, puri, parathas etc.)

  • v r Indians v always use our clean hands to cook and also to eat
