My nephew has autism as well, and I am obssessed with trains in general anyhow.. I know that the repetition sounds can pull him out of an autistic fits or seizures, and have heard others tell me the same works for their own children.. I think it is because the sounds triger theta waves in the brain, and can trigger Vagus Nerve stimulation. Thanks for sharing your video. :) . - Dana C. L. DNatureofDTrain
yes I agree...the sounds of specific things including sounds Noah makes himself all help keep him CALM! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment! :)
you can go to Amazon DOT com and type in See N Speak Interactive Railroad Crossing Gate....they sell them there and they are shipped from a company called eToys. They also offer interactive road signs. They cost 29.99 minus shipping. I tried to post a direct link but it will not allow me in the comments to do so. Sorry.
Noah has come a long way but he pretty much had signs and symptoms of more classic autism as far back as 18 months or so. In fact...probably sooner as he never really cried or required much personal interaction when a baby even.
actually no. He was diagnosed with infantile autism, sensory integration disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, hypotonia, speech/language delay. While he has many Aspergers characteristics now...they said he did not qualify as that because he had no language (he did not talk) till he was about 4 years old.
