  • Omg this takes me back to summer of '93 when I was 13 & Jurassic Park & GL were MY LIFE.

    Good times...

  • Very nice video...I was 12 at the time and had been watching with my mother since I was 4 or 5 years old. I remember so many of these moments it just made me smile. Thank you for the collage of memories.

  • I started watching more to in 1993...I was 13 at the time.Grew up with the CBS soaps since birth. My 2 fav moments were Maureen confronting ED in January and Who Shot Roger in DEcember

  • And I couldn't make it though without crying a little...again, haha!

  • My favorite moment is Jenna loading a gun and scarring Buzz. She states something like: "As long as I am alive I will not let anyone hurt so much as one hair on your head" Jezz was a great couple!

  • Thanks for sharing....awesome clips, and music. Great trip down memory lane. One of the best times on the show.

  • I really enjoyed the Nadine/Billy/Vanessa triangle. That's what got me hokked up on GL. And then Holly and Roger at the cliffhouse!

  • "Guiding Light" never recovered, creatively, after the series killed off in January 1993 the character of Maureen Bauer. That was the most relatable, soulful character who had relatable, soulful storytelling. Ellen Parker, who won the supporting-actress Emmy that year, was fantastic in the part.

  • 1993 a good year, except for Maureen's death and a terrible Mindy. Good heavens Jenna's wedding dress may tie w/ Dorothy's on Golden Girls. It's just as well Jenna would not have raised a child well w/ Roger. Hard to believe after this David was such a creep to Michelle when she was accused of murder, esp when her cousin Bridget was his best friend. I loved Joe Lando do a short run. I wish CBS had done that with other primetime stars. Don't worry A-M that just means you can date Marina later.

  • @Robansuefarm Just realized if you don't know me, you probably don't know that I often hold that Dorothy's dress for the finale of Golden Girls is quite possibly the ugliest wedding dress of all time. Google it if you don't believe me and don't remember it.

  • Seeing Marcy Walker and Barbara Crampton together at 2:26 reminds me how much better Marcy wouldve been in the role of Mindy.

  • @Tigger97498 Not to dimiss Marcy Walker, but frankly just about ANYBODY would have been a better choice for Mindy than Barbara Crampton who was too old, dressed too young to try to disguise the fact, and just wasn't suited for the role. She had a "name" but not much else.

  • @Tigger97498 Oh my God you are so wrong. Marcy Walker was not pretty enough and she was only three years younger than Barbara. People always say she was too old but she was only four years older than kimberly simms. I think she did a great job and people don't give her enough credit. She held on to a lot of the sex appeal that Simms gave to the role. I still have to say Kimberly Simms was the best Mindy. I've never seen a recast come on and be better in a role than the original. Simms did it!

  • OH my God you have a clip of Ann Hamilton as "Mindy" she last 3 months at the most...and my favorite "Hart" Leonard Stabb

  • YES that was a crazy year, Nadine's pregnancy was abit far reaching but because of big hitters like Melissa Hayden, Jean Carol, Jordan Clarke it was a fun story....when Bridget found out Mo died..heartbreaking. Buzz being on canvas and Harley being a major player we shortly got Lucy Cooper and I loved Lucy as much as Harley and that started the love affair of A-M & Lucy.
