Hi all i just got this spykee robot from a yard sale for 2$. He is in perfect condition, he is missing the cd for software. The website seems to stricken with a virus. Can anyone pm a link of his software?

My Spykee battery died and I couldn't find a good replacement. I finally found one at spykeebattery . com. The new battery fit perfectly and works great. I can get over 3 hours of use out of it now.

@iTomOnline Those cheap chinese wireless camera are perfect for this. They're like £3 on ebay... They're about the size of a 1 pence piece. The base unit carries the wireless unit on spykee so woulnd't work

Just thought I'd tell everybody that if you superglue the fiber optics to the blinking lights it makes it harder for the top to flip backwards. Make sure you get a glue for plastic and pull the optics tight after they are secured.

There is a wifi card built into the unit. But you need a router to connect to him remotely. A computer with a wifi card will connect to it locally.

Sven i have my spykee connected to the router thanks to your video i hear 3 beeps and can control it in the house in ad hoc and through the router, however when i try remotely from a location where i do not use my own internet conenction it keeps coming up with internal connection error and will not connect? have u any ideas? would it be my router? i think i have done al the port forwarding your help would be great

My tutorial video might help more. My /guess/ is you're trying to connect to ip address. Where as you should be connecting to the robots name - confusing I know, it confused me.

Do you have a wireless network card? Do you perhaps have one built into a laptop?

You don't *need* a router/wifi point to play with the robot, you just need a wireless card either inbuilt or external.
