Potente y sobre todo muy tecnico, que idiota el español este, nadal lo que menos tiene es tecnina y como no sabe un carajo de tenis no sabe que desir la verdad, hay 2 cosas importantes, de las cuales una es una cualidad de este exelente tenista español, una la potencia y aceleracion con la que se golpea la pelota, y la otra es la empuñadura correcta y pasarle muy por debajo y de costado a la pelota sino nunca va a agarrar semejante efecto, la tecnica de nadal me la paso por los huevos asi nomas

look carefully and you'll notice it's not his arm that's generating the curve. In fact, his curve shots are a result of his hip/core rotation for those looking to replicate it. His bananas however not only use the rotation but also the running momentum combined with a low ball. if he was forced to hit it at higher point, probably not as effective. Also note that as he hits this, he hits at full extension without really driving as much, similar to a kick serve.

@JiraiyaSama86 it's actually just an angular brush on the ball during the topspin stroke. he just gets so much racket head speed that it makes the ball curve so fast.

@cj397 angular brush can be very misleading. But in general all his curvy shots come from his strong core. I've tried a few, and the curve really comes from the hip/core rotation, without as much stepping into the court(that just makes it straighter). That combined with his whip like motion, as opposed to a stiff arm. there is angle of brushing involved but it's mostly how the core unit guides the whip.

@TheDrunkGuineaPig1 Pfffft! Eso no es impresionante. Yo respondí un saque de Karlovic con el mango de la raqueta y llegó a 500km/h con 10.000 rpm y cuando tocó el suelo se fusionó. Luego hice un saque del doble de potencia y topspin que rebotó donde la otra pelota se había fusionado con el suelo y creó un mini túnel de gusano que me llevó directo a la habitación de Jessica Alba. El resto es obvio.

Pero vamos, la potencia y curva que les aplica vista en la pista (en la tele todo parece más lento) sí es bastante especial. A Federer se lo he visto hacer de revés, que a una mano es mucho más complicado que con el drive.
